    Inches vs. Pounds

Hardest thing I learned was is use the scale as a guide. Please don't let your life be dictated by a number on scale. Deep inside we know if we are following directions and doing an healthy life style. Measure and use clothes to see. It will make you mentally healthier. Pinky promise.

    Excess Skin

Lost 125 lbs in a little under a year. Skin is horrendous(to me) around stomach bottom. Arms and legs are seeming to look more and more normal everyday.

    Weightlifting and the Scale

I find it hard to bulk since we can only eat so much. My Doctor office goes by scale so I don't want them to think I'm not doing right if I'm gaining weight. I stay between 195-205 lbs but dying to super bulk.

    New Here. Friends?

The younger the patient the better the patient can tighten their skin up. I have lost 155 lbs and my skin only looks bad in the tummy region. The rest of places can be fixed by toning up after you lose a lot of weight.

    New Here. Friends?

After losing large sums of weight you can't belive how hard twenty lbs looks. Yes, i hope I can find some friends on here because I have had no luck finding any younger ones around where I live. When I go to support meetings I am the youngest one there by like fifeteen years easy. It would be nice to meet somebody around my age to talk too because it's a life change not a one time thing. 15. Hello There,

I got my band April 20, 2006. I have lost 155 lbs. Worst issues are being too scared to eat on dates bc i don't want to get sick and have to explain. Also, every once in a while I will be tired because I haven't ate alot. And every once in a blue moon i sleep funny position wise because of it. Yes, I excerice most days. Run, jog, walk, lift heavy materials at work.

    New Here. Friends?

Chelsea, I was very luck in my experience. My mom's friend recommended me to the surgery center. From start to finish it took about a month from knowing nothing to getting approved. I had to meet with a psychologst, nutritionist, and go to support group like once or twice. It might seem a lot but it is worth it in the end. No problem about asking questions. This is why I am here, I want to share my knowledge of being banded and help other banders around my age especially. Justin

    Getting & keeping a boy/girlfriend?

I have found that relationships after being banded are far more difficult and complicated but not impossible. It seems that people need to realize that beauty comes from inside out, not outside in. I'm sure that everybody on these forums is beautiful in their own way but it just takes times to find that special someone. xJMorgan
