  1. When my husband and I go out we share an entree..that way I don't waste half of mine and it helps him cut calories too!! We just add an extra soup or salad..depending on how hungry I am feeling at the time.
  2. I can eat thin crust pizza too. I usually just eat about half of the crust and pull the toppings off the other half. I eat this with a salad and don't feel bad about it. I have lost 60 pounds since Sept. 2010 so I must be doing something right
  3. I too love pickles.. I have 8cc's in my band and have no problems eating them. I use them for a snack in place of chips when I am craving something salty. Good luck to you.
  4. I have to say my dr. is dong pretty well also...My ins. paid 45,000. on my hosp stay. that included the band and a heart cath plus 5 days in hosp.
  5. Sounds to me like you are not eating enough. Your body needs calories to boost your metabolism. Don't return the clothes just yet. Hang in there.
  6. My dr. also gave me a card to carry....I just added it to my stack. I now have 3 cards to carry. 1 for lap band, 1 for insulin pump, and 1 for pacer/defib. lol....just carry the card and you should not have any more problems. I have set off alarms at amusement parks, courthouse and police dept.
  7. I am 2 weeks post op and still have the shoulder pain sometimes. As for BM..I was 5 days post op and am still having a hard time with it. I am taking Colace daily and it seems to be helping some.
  8. I was wondering the same thing. i am 2 weeks post op and have my pre op appetite. I don't feel any retriction right now and feel like I can eat anything. I am so ready for my first feel on 10/21 and hope that helps.
  9. I am there with you... also banded on9/21...lost 11 pounds the first week..but have actually gained 2 pounds in the last few days....discouraging!!!!
  10. I had 3 oz ground baked skinless boneless chicken breast with shrimp sauce, 1/2 cup green beans mashed with fork and a whole boiled baby potato mashed with pepper and shrimp sauce
  11. Thanks for the replies. I have 3 more weeks of soft foods...then I can have a salad...
  12. I am currently still on liquids and can't have it right now, but was just wondering if salad is a slider food. I have been craving salad and trying to figure out how long it is going to be before I can eat some. Before surgery I was sick of the sight of salad, now it is all I can think about!!!!
  13. Is that really baby food? Someone asked me if I was going to eat baby food when I get to move to the next step. I will probably just blend my own.
  14. That sounds YUMMY...but since I am still on liquid I guess I will stick to my 'mater Soup..
  15. Hello..I am 40 and live in Western NC...I was CNA 2 and Med Tech for 20 years in nursing home, also worked PT in medical records. MD took me out of work several years ago due to bad heart. Hope to go back to work at some point. Until then I am a stay at home mom of a 15 year old and I handle the paper work side of my husbands lawnservice business.
