  1. They must be good then! Where do you get that?
  2. Does anyone know of any good tasting protein shakes?
  3. Wow that is a really good story! I got banded in in september of this year and we have almoost the same starting weight and the same exact goal weight. I have a 6 month old and he truly is the reason I'm doing this and cannot wait to make these kind of memories with him
  4. Thank you everyone! I'm doing pretty good just eating very small and chewed up bites. I eat mostly eggs. I tried to eat thin sliced ham and it got stuck; awful feeling! My surgeon doesn't give a fill until a month after surgery so I don't really have much restriction, I'm just trying to eat very small meals. Thank you everyone for the responses. Hope everyone is doing well! :smile2:
  5. So I went to the doctors 1 week after my surgery while I was still on my liquid diet and he told me I was fine to start eating regular solid food. I've been eating chicken, eggs, salad etc. I feel like this is way too early but like I said the doctor said it was fine but I look on this site and it seems everyone else's doctor doesn't let them for weeks. Hmm anyone else out there eat solid food this early? Thanks! :smile2:
  6. :confused:I am on day 4 of my all liquied pre-op diet. I am to be banded on the 23rd. I can only have Protein shakes, broth, pudding, 1/2 c. of fruit etc. I have lots of paper that give me my maximum calories and protein. But I have nothing that says how many carbs. I have been writing down everything I eat and noticed I eat 50-70 carbs everyday in this diet. Well I know nothing about "carbs" does anyone know if this is too much? Thank you!
  7. I have the same doctor and getting banded september 23rd
  8. Hi everyone. I am getting banded on September 23rd and I have a 5 month son and I need to know how long it will take after surgery to be able to take care of him. My husband is in the airforce so he can only take so many days off work and we live away from our families so we don't have any help here. So anyway can anyone tell me about how long till I can bend over pick him up, walk up and down steps etc. Thank you!
  9. Hi JD2010! I am a Tricare Prime beneficiary and got accepted after 3 times of re-submitting my paper work. It took 4-5 months all together to get accepted. Just DO NOT give up, it takes time. I do have one piece of advice don't let the surgeon scheduler do it all. Call Tricare yourself and make sure they have everything you need etc. I am only 18 years old with a BMI of 40 and they accepted me so I'm sure you will be as well. I went to a seminar in May of 2010 and here it is September and I'll be banded this month on the 23rd. Tricare sometimes is really fast and isn't other times. Just do not give up! Hope all goes well

  11. Aw thank you very much for the reply! I actually looked for a Vitamin shoppe here in Dover but we couldn't find one so I had to get the GNC brand Meal Replacement shake. Which is really good too! Good luck with everything
