  1. Feel too knackered to exercise. Struggling to even take dog for a walk some days. I am not sure whether I am disappointed with myself or my band. I guess I was expecting a bit too much. Is your port site still sore?
  2. I sympathise. I also have zero restriction and can eat whatever I like. My first fill is on the 8th November and I can't wait. I am too scared to get on the scales incase I have put on weight. Its just too easy to eat - not what I expected
  3. Wow! This is fascinating to read. I haven't had a fill yet, but can eat anything. I haven't pb'd, slimed, vomited at all. It sounds horrific. I don't even have to chew particularly well. I'll see what happens after my first fill :w00t:
  4. Wow! thats impressive. There is no way I would dare to exercise at the minute. Thing is, the pain only started 2.5 weeks after the surgery so I just don't understand it. I have got 2 lots of antibiotics to take so will see how it goes. Thanks for all your replies.
  5. I am 3 weeks post op. All going well until I started getting a sharp tearing pain below my port on the left side of my abdomen. Its fine if I sit or lie down but if I walk its agony and makes me double up in pain. Have been to docs and was told it could be kidney stones or diverticulitis. My urine also showed signs of infection. I have spoken to my surgeon and he doesn't think it is a problem with the port but I'm not so sure. Its just too close and too much of a coincidence. Anyone else had any problems like this. It feels like something is ripping inside me. Many thanks
  6. 'Mrs Palmer and her 5 daughters.' What a fantastic saying. Never heard that one before :smile2:
  7. I too have no restriction. Have not vomited, pb'd, slimed etc. Everything goes down fine. I just eat less of it cause I get full quicker. I have no fill in my band yet and am 2.5 weeks post op. Went to see doc today and he said I probably won't lose any more weight until I have a fill which will be 6 weeks post op.
  8. Thank you my friends. Today is a new day. A lot of what you said has made lots of sense. There will be times when I fall off the wagon, but I must get back on and not dwell on the mistakes I have made. I have spent the last 30 years making poor food choices and a miracle is not going to happen overnight. I just hope that they get less and less and my band will help me when I get it wrong. I really appreciate the time you have taken to respond to a complete stranger. Good luck to everyone and hopefully I will be able to help someone along the way soon.
  9. WOW!! HARSH!!! I feel so much better for that. Thanks  So do you consider 1 fish burger for dinner 1 day and 1 slice of pizza for dinner the next overeating? I was more concerned with the fact that I can get these types of food down fine so early than with the amount.
  10. Thanks for all your replies. I guess if I look at it positively, before my band I would have eaten the fish burger, fries, coke and a flurry. I would have then picked for the rest of the evening. The burger itself filled me up and I didn't need anything else until morning. I just can't figure out why I can get normal food down fine when some people are still struggling with liquids. 2 weeks post op is still really early.
  11. Yesterday I ate a Mcdonalds fillet of fish burger and today a slice of pizza. WTF am I doing? (It all went down fine btw). Anyone else being as stupid or am I just a lost cause?
  12. Banded 23/9 Ups Lost 9.5lbs Can still drink tea and coffee Can't drink more than 1/3 of a smoothie Feels good to not be really stuffed Heartburn and reflux completely gone Can still eat chocolate Downs Can still eat chocolate Port a bit sore Out of breath from gas The smell of pizza and bacon is intolerable Don't seem to have lost as much weight as a lot of other people
  13. Me too. Mainly under the port incision. It stops me dead in my tracks and I can't move. Is anyone else constipated. It will be a week tomorrow :smile2:
  14. Hi everyone. Thanks for all your replies. Was thinking about ringing doc today but might leave it a few days as its seems I'm not the only one having the problem. Will let you know how it goes. Is anyone else hungry? I sat in the cafe yesterday while kids were at the beach and the smell of bacon was driving me insane. I am now wondering if I have done the right thing. It really is torture.
