  1. Thank you GOD for this thread!!!!! I was just in the kitchen talking to my mother and said to her "I don't think my band is working, or they forgot to put it in!" LOL, I am was banded Nov 15th, and doing great so far. I am walking, drinking my 64 ounces of water a day, getting all my protein. Today though, I was starving, I had a morning star farm veggie sausage patty (80 cal and 10 protein) I had the entire thing, then I had some humus with a few kashi crackers. I stopped myself because I was getting worried. Shouldn't I be feeling full after 1-2 ounces of food? Are the rest of you like this as well? When does that full feeling really kick in??
  2. Hi Sdart =) A question for you, are you sipping your liquids slowly? I was banded Nov 15th, I will be 2 weeks this Monday and I am just feeling back to myself. Remember, this can be a very emotional journey for all of us. Have you called your doctors office? Call them and see what they can offer as well. I feel bad that you are regretting this part of it. You are still going to be tired, you just had surgury. I find walking like they told me to do everyday for at least 30 minutes is helping. I hope this helped a little. Keep your chin up, the hardest part is over. =)
  3. Morning all =) I was banded Nov 15th, home from the hospital next day. I am doing great and the gas pains seem to finally be on the way out. I have been making it a huge point thru my day to get outside and walk, even if it's from my front door to the end of my driveway. I am on stage 3 foods, so I have not been very hungry. Getting about 50 grams of protein in. Adding protein power to my yogurt, and shakes. I made tomato soup and added 2 tbls spoons of parmasan cheese. Today I can feel the tightness around my band, but I am psyched because it's my reminder to stay the course and go go go!!!! Happy Friday all =)
  4. Hey all. Finally banded and home. Just an overnight stay. Havimng abdominal pain and my throat is sore. BUT I am banded and begining my new life. Congrats to all of us!!!
  5. Hi everyone =) I am also getting banded Nov 15th. My 10 day liquid diet started this AM and I am doing the Dartmouth Diet. So far not too bad, but the cream of wheat is just, well,,, sooooo bad.... I am so excited to get my band, I moved thru the process very quick as well. 2 months total, I have Harvard Pilgrim and was approved right away. I am 299 lb's and goal is 180. CONGRATS TO ALL OF US!!!!!!
