All sounds too familiar! I've been banded since 2010 but in 2013 I started having problems so had all the fluid taken out, put back on all my weight and more! In March this year I decided to try again and started getting fills, everything was going great and 47lbs lighter I was feeling really positive. Then, for no reason I started getting reflux to the point I was vomiting all the time (just the acid) and it varied in colour from brown to black! Attended bariatric nurse and got some fluid out, symptoms didn't improve so I got all fluid removed. I'm in the UK and although I paid for my band privately I went to my GP and asked for an X-ray to make sure everything is ok........just waiting in the results of that fingers crossed all is ok and I just needed a rest. My fear is putting weight back on!! X

I posted a couple of weeks ago about really bad acid reflux, I got 0.25ml taken out and it has gone but has now been replaced by smelly burps!! They taste horrible & it's really embarrassing, I'm constantly eating mints to try & disguise the smell. Any ideas? Was going to make an appointment with my GP in case I have some sort of bacteria or something, would be good to hear if anyone else has/is suffering from this xx

Thanks Terry I'm sleeping at an incline at the moment to try & prevent which is not the most comfortable. I didn't eat or drink for 3 hours before going to bed last night & all was good although didn't lie flat. I will speak to my bariatric nurse & get her advice. Thanks

Thanks B-52, I find i'm ok with certain foods one day then not the next, probably trying to eat too quickly! Trial and error I suppose.

Does anyone else suffer from pain in their shoulder, neck & jaw after getting something even slightly stuck?

Last couple of weeks I've been suffering with disgusting acid reflux during the night, it's waking me up & tastes horrible, almost like vomit. I'm scared to lie down flat at night as it seems to make it worse, anyone else had same issues??

Such a shame, I can't imagine how you must feeling right now but as KateP says your dad passed feeling extremely proud of you......keep going because I'm sure he will be by your side......hugs & kisses ????

Was back to normal yesterday, like you Katiep I feel tight when I'm feeling stressed, although have been practicing mindfulness to try and combat it ????????

I was on a short flight yesterday 1.5 hours each way and now I'm struggling to eat solid food, it feels painful, will this pass??

Has your band been loosened or do you still have restriction. I had a lot of the same issues (I was banded 2010) and got it emptied. I kept it empty for 18 months, I've just started getting it filled again & so far so good. Don't get me wrong I've put a lot of weight on in the time it was empty but all the pain, discomfort, acid reflux & heartburn eventually stopped. Good luck whatever you decide to do x
