  1. FUNNY, I buy the body choice shots and love them. I keep mine ice cold. They are a great way to rack up the protein without eating a lot. I work at Costco. If you don't like them take them back. You're only out the money if you keep the shots.
  2. &%@+ the doctor. This is about you and your health. Not what other people think. Congrats on losing so much weight.
  3. Wow, Zeniada, today I had real bad pressure all day I needed to burp and couldn't. I had my Surg the same day as you. It seems like you have good days and bad days. Today was the latter. Before surg I could burp on call. I guess things are a little different in there now. Hehe
  4. Zen, I had my surgery on the 26th too. The first two days were uncomfortable, but I did lots of walking. Today, I felt 100% better. Even had a Slim Fast shake, tomato Soup, and a Premeir Protein shake and still no gas or bloating. I think keeping moving really helps. I had one little gas bubble today when I swallowed some air with a gulp (old habits) and I just walked it off in about 10 mins. I know everyone is different, but I bet you'll start feeling better real soon. Clif
  5. Protein shots are a clear fruit flavored liquid protein shot sold at Costco, Walmart and other stores. The shot is a little less then 3 oz and has around 30 grams of protein. Here is a link. You can SIP them straight of add to water. Walmart.com: Body Fortress Super Whey Protein Shot Fruit Punch Supplement - 17.4 Oz: Diet & Nutrition
  6. Only 2 days ago. Trust us we have all been there.
  7. Hi Elizabeth no you're doing fine. So you had your surgery yet? Mine was Thur, today I feel pretty good. I even had coffee so far.
  8. Hey I'm Kinda in the same boat sleepwise. last night was about 4 hours of sleep. I haven't had problems drinking. I've been doing Water, Broth, Jello, Popcicles, and liquid Protein shots mixed in the water. regular protein shakes are a little too rough on me right now. But be assured I'm right with you.
  9. Good Luck! The last 48 hours were the toughest for me. Now 24 hours after I'm sore, but relieved and happy.
  10. My doctor didn't require the Pre Op liquid diet. He basically required my to lose 10% of my weight before he would see me. so as long as I maintained I was good for surgery. Which was yesterday!
  11. Congrats all of you on your B-Day! I had mine yesterday It was very stressful waiting to go in, BUT then my anesthesiologist came in to talk to me about the surgery. I had to sign the warning papers and the he said the BAR is open and gave me a good cocktail to relax me. After that waiting was easy. Can't sleep tonight though. Up at 4AM sipping Water with Ice on my belly and it's all worth it! trust me! Good luck let us know how it goes. Clif
  12. I have Aetna through my work Costco. They are paying for 90% of it. They had a 6month regiment ,but once that was completed and the doctor submitted for the surgery it was really quick. I have heard that some companies pay extra to add bariatric surgery.
  13. Whew It's over. The surgery was actually a breeze. Woke up dranks some water, walked around, drank more water Slowly, and they sent me home. I was in the hospital 7 hrs. No Nausea or PB so far, But the excess gas has moved into my back and makes it very uncomfortable at times. hopefully this doesn't last long. I even made a walk through Costco waiting for the Prescripts. I hope everyone's surgery went great today. We're now on our way.
  14. Heading to the hospital. Wow 2 hours of sleep, I guess I'll be sleeping the rest of the day.
  15. I wish you the best. I know everything will be just fine.
