  3. Hello Outrageous Octobers! I just want to stop by and say congrats to all the post ops out there this month and congrats to the pre ops too. Sadly I won't be able to get banded this month like orginally planned. My insurance pre approved me for it then sad they needed 5 years of a BMI over 40. I only have 3. And its in the contract with my employer that all employees on the cheaper insurance has to have the 5 years. So it is kinda hard to appeal it. But... the more expensive insurance allows it with the only requirement being a BMI of over 40. So October is still going to be a good month for me because it is open enrollment for insurance. I will be changing my insurance to the expensive one this month and have my surgery in the first 2 weeks of January. So new year, new me:thumbup:. So I was dropping by to say Hi to everyone and good luck! Nicole
  4. CONGRATS!!! I can not wait until I am in your situation that I can say I got approved. Still waiting... Nicole
  5. Hi R Gran 1, Age is nothing but a number. I enjoy reading this post also because it makes me feel not alone. I mean I know I have my children and husband but they are not having to deal with a weight issue like I am. I kinda feel lonely. Good luck with your journey! Nicole:lol:
  6. I hope that I can be as successfull as all of you on these boards!!!
  7. I am waiting on final approval right now! I'm 28 and hoping to be banded in October.
  8. I am new to this but with what you are eating, it doesn't sound like you are eating enough Protien. Women need between 50-60 a day and men 60 to 70. If you are not eating enough protein your body goes into to hibernation mode. You will not lose weight at all if you are not eating enough protein for your body to survive. Nicole
  9. Hello All, I am hoping to be banded in Oct too. I have had my Psych eval, my Nutrition eval and have attended 2 seminars. I talked to my Banding Coordinator on Monday and she was waiting on the dictation from the appointments to send in for approval. My insurance is BCBS Anthem. There doesn't seem to be a lot of requirements if you are over a 40 bmi, which I am. I have done many diets before from WW to 6 week Body Makeover. I can lose weight but it always comes back. The only time I have successfully lost weight for more then a month has been when I was pregnant. I lost between 40 to 50lbs with each of my two children. I hope that I hear something within the next week or so. Good Luck to everyone!!! Side note, how do I get the signatures??? Nicole
