Almost One Year Out..what Are You Eating?
I had a meeting with my nutritionist today..she wants me to eat 1400 calories/no more than 180 g carbs/at least 120 g protein/30 g fat on days that I work out, and on the days I don't work out: 1200 calories/no more than 140 g carbs/at least 100 g protein/25 g fat. It seems like a lot..but she wants me to eat healthy carbs for my carb allowance so I guess that would be okay. Does this seem like a lot to anyone else? I will be one year out in March. I've been stuck between 197-199 for the past few weeks and want to lose more!

Weight Watchers
I don't go to meetings, but I do the online program. It really helps to keep me accountable for the foods that I eat instead of just eating whatever I want in small portions.

Super Easy - Crustless low-carb quiche
Sounds good! I'll have to make it sometime! Do you know if you can refrigerate it and re-heat it?

Carb Overload :( HELP!

Carb Overload :( HELP!
I am almost 7 months post-op and for the past few days, all I have been eating is chips, crackers..stuff like that and I never feel satisfied of course Any tips on how to go back to low-carb? I feel so gross!

wine, cup of coffee
I waited about 6 weeks before I had caffeine and about 3 months before I had alcohol. I have found though that one drink at a bar (probably 2-3 shots worth of vodka) makes me feel good and 2 just makes me unwalkable drunk lol. So be careful!

How many calories are too many?
My NUT is part of my bariatric package with my surgeon & coordinator also. I can see her as many times as I need FOR LIFE. I'm pretty sure that she knows what she is talking about since she deals with only bariatric patients and nursing mothers. Carolina girl, I think I am going to follow sorta what your NUT said and see how it goes. I am currently losing about .5-1 lb a week and that just seems way too little for being only 6 months out.

How many calories are too many?
I think I am going to aim for between 800-1000 calories per day max and stick to low carb. I have 50 lbs left to go and don't want to slow down my weight loss by eating more

I love Chipolte!
I love Chipotle too! I get the burrito bowl without rice, with fajita veggies, salsa, cheese, double steak or chicken and a side of guacamole Yummy! I eat what I can of it, and then I put the left-overs into microwave safe dishes and have it for lunch for a few days

How many calories are too many?
I am currently a little over 6 months out from surgery and went to see my NUT and she freaked out on me that I wasn't eating enough! I was eating between 800-900 calories per day and low carb. She upped my calories to 1200-1500 calories per day, 180 grams of carbs max and 70-80 grams of Protein. She said that I am never supposed to eat less than 1200 calories per day and she is telling everyone at our support group meetings the same thing. I could maybe agree with her on the calories, but 180 grams of carbs per day? Doesn't that seem a little high? If you are also 6 months or more out, how much do you usually eat on a regular basis?

Eating Out - Embarrasing???
Just ignore them I get it a lot when I go out to eat with friends but most of my friends know about my surgery so they usually just split an entree with me Like a couple weeks ago, I went to downtown Disney with a friend and we just split a burger..we got a few looks but whatever

Couch Potato to 5K
I'm going to start doing C25K on Monday. I am 6 months post-op and need to start doing something other than just walking around the neighborhood or on the treadmill. I have 50 more lbs to lose and I know that running will help make that happen faster than just walking

How many calories?
I am going to aim for 1000-1200 calories per day instead of the 1200-1500 but I am going to cut the carbs down to no more than 60 grams per day. 180 grams of carbs per day is ridiculous and I think all the extra carbs are what is making not lose anything right now. I've been stuck between 215-217 for the past 2 weeks and I just want to move past that already!

I still only get in around 1000 calories max but I'm scared that I am eating too much and because I'm not losing anything!
