  1. I had a similar experience with my family and it hurt a lot, but I decided to go with it anyway and am glad I did. You are not doing this for them. This is for you and your health. They are not the ones living in an overweight body and they are not the ones who have struggled. Exercise and watching what you eat has not worked for you and you need help. There are probably other things in their lives that they have needed help with, just not things that everyone knows about like eating. Do you judge them for that? They should not judge you for needing help. It is not a miracle cure and takes a lot of work on your part. If you do not do your part, it will not work. This is not just an easy fix. I'm sorry you had to feel the same way I did, but keep your head up. You are doing what is best for you. If you are in it alone, so be it, it will make you stronger!!!!
  2. I had the same thing for 2 or three weeks. It was gas for me. Not a good feeling. Gas-x helped.
  3. That's awesome. Great work!!!!! Post pics if you have em.
  4. That's awesome. Great work!!!!! Post pics if you have em.
  5. I was banded the same day as you! I have had some discomfort as i switch to mushies. It's helped me to aet a lot slower. I hope we can stay in touch since we are on the same time frame. When do you get filled? I get filled on Sept. 28th.
  6. I was banded August 17th, followed the 2 week liquid diet after, and now have completed week 1 of mushies. I have one more week of mushies and have started to want to cheat. I haven't yet, but I feel like I could without harming the band. I go onto solid foods in 1 week and have my first fill 2 weeks after that. So that makes 3 more weeks without a fill. How did others get through this time?
  7. Don't worry. I did the same and I am ok now. It's really hard, so just do your best. Listen to your body!
  8. G-d bless you. You are very strong, so take care of YOU!!! Ultimately, that means you are taking care of your son, too!

I'm dying to eat on my 8th day of the liquids. If I, who have to least amount of discipline, can do it so can you!!! Keep it up!

What else are you eating now? I'm on day 7 of the shakes/soup phase and can't wait to get to the "Mushies". What else will I be able to have?

I was not able to tell my parents either. It was a hard decision, but one I had to make for my success. They would not have been supportive, so I did not want to talk to them about it.

I was just banded 7 days ago and have been reading t=your blog as inspiration. Just wanted to say thanks for the support. It's helping me get through this hard time.
