Hi all from Moreno Valley, CA. Had my surgery on June 21st and I'm doing well. Have lost about 15 pounds since surgery, and 10 pounds since the end of April. I can tell the diff. in the way my clothes fit. Only problem I had was about 3 weeks after my surgery I got this terrible pain just below the port area. It was so bad I thought I'd have my husband take me to the hospital, but thought I'd be so embarassed if it was gas, I stayed home and cried. It bothered me for 2 days before I saw my lap band doctor and he said it was a muscle spasm or pulled muscle, and said it had nothing to do with my port. I went home and held a pillow to my stomach for a week, than made an appointment with my PCP , and 2 hours after I called their office, it went away! I have felt fine ever since. It did feel better if I wore something tight. Anyone else have this sort of pain?
Also, I am at the point were I can eat solids, but find myself kind of afraid to. I have read that so many have had problems with being "stuck". Any food I have tried, I chew it so much there is nothing left to swallow! Good thing I love my protein shakes. Good luck to all those who have lost weight so far. Everyone I have encountered so far from this site have been wonderful about answering my questions. Thank you.
