I can only hope that in 6 months I will be posting a 70lb weight loss. I will be banded on 1-11-11. Any good suggestions to pass on other than watch what you eat. I have been reading were some got banded and eat what they want but only in a smaller portion due to the band and the weight is just coming off.
  2. Thanks, I worry about the nausea myself since I get nauseated easily by not eating and coke is the only thing that helps me and I cant have soda's for awhile. Did you get something for the nausea? Are you still on liquids?
  3. Thanks for all the well wishes. It is exciting but you cant help but be a little nervous. Do you find you really are restricted to certain foods or has the smaller portions help you lose the weight. How about exercise do you work out daily?
  4. I have the same problem. I have been told so many different things and what I read is also different. My husband and I will both be banded 1/11/2011... We started the liquid diet today 1/3/2011 just to get a start on weight loss and to cut back on the things we will have to give up for a few months (coffee, soda's etc.). Our physician said it was up to us on wether we do the liquid diet before. Dr. Trahan usually doesn't require this unless you are over 50 bmi which neither of us are. This is just day 1 so hope we both can continue the liquid boost Hi protein during the day and a sensible dinner at night for 8 days...
  5. This is my first blog.. I have been on several times reading and learning. My husband and I are both getting banded together on 1/11/11. I have so many questions on what to do and not to but that will take all day. I get so many conflicting answers on how many days liquid to puree to solids. Hope someone has some really good suggestions. I'm not much on exercise my life is just so bussssy. I'm hoping to be able to lose weight just being banded and watching everything I put in my mouth. I will try to walk as much as possible. Any other suggestions in getting in exercise.
  6. My husband and I both will be banded January 11, 2011... The process wasn't as bad as I thought we both started our journals and 3 months of doctors appointments in July. We had both been to a cardiologist this year so that was done. I had done my mammogram and blood work early this year also so that was another thing checked off our list. We both could have done the surgery in October which was my plan but my husband doctor drug his feet on the letter that need to go to the insurance company about being a good candidate until all the October appointments were booked up. We decided to wait till the first of the year with the holidays coming and didn't want to set our self up with all the temptation over the holidays. I'm getting a little nervous and anxious now. I just hope this will be a easy process and that we both have success with our weight loss. I've been surfing alot on do's and don'ts.
