  1. WAY TO GO, THAT'S AWESOME! *doing a happy dance for you!!!*
  2. Viv checking in this MLK day. I so glad for this day off. I weighed in and I'm still at 219.6...what the crap? Uggh I am thinking that it's the lack of protein, I haven't been keeping up with my protein so I think I will try to do better this week. But it's better to maintain then to gain. I'm half way to my goal and my dr said this could happen.:/ I am definitely down for the squats and crunches. Congrats on your weight loss. WTG!!! Take care peeps! Hope this week is better then the last.
  3. Hey! I live in NOVA, Lorton area. I can totally understand! My boyfriend and I would go out to eat every Friday and Saturday. During my pre op and post op (right after surgery) stage we held out in going, he was so supportive. Now I'm at a point where I can go out and eat and eat a little and still have that time with him. It'll pass...and quickly. Don't worry. Tons of luck to you!
  4. That happened to me...it felt like I got unfilled instead of a fill. But it got a little better as the days passed. Just keep measuring your food and you'll be ok. I've heard that it takes 3-4 fills (on average) to find the sweet spot. Don't worry we'll get there. I've had my 2nd fill and it's way different, I feel like I can still eat anything and more then 1 cup but at least I don't have that "worse then before" feeling. Hope that makes sense. Good luck!
  5. Good job...way to go! You're doing amazing! I had GB issues before lap band surgery and had to have it removed...must say GB surgery is a piece of cake!
  6. haha that's ok...I was like "oh no did they kick me out" LOL Thanks!
  7. Try JCPenney's I went and got new dress pants because I had the saggy butt too. Everything was on super duper sale. I got 6 pants and a cardigan for $100.
  8. That's for keeping this going...but I don't see myself on the list.
  9. I'm in! I would like to be in onederland! My birthday is March 10th so it would be an awesome gift to myself. My goal is 19 lbs. Thanks!
  10. haha congrats on your surgery! I'm assuming that stretching isn't going to hurt you...just take it easy and slowly and I'm sure you'll be fine. But you're right nothing better then a good stretch. Tons of luck to you!
  11. Thanks girlie! I'm definitely not beating myself up because I know I didn't try my hardest...gotta keep pushing and fighting the good fight...oh and it's definitely better to maintain than to gain! Thanks again for keeping the updates!
  12. Hi, happy Monday! I'm definitely still on holiday mode I think because last week was rough. I wasn't great with my diet...which the scale reflects that. I need to refocus and get it together. This week I WILL get my butt back in the gym and get all my Protein and Water in. My (Viv) weight is 219.6 lbs...no weight loss for me last week. :/
  13. Thanks so much Lindsey! Would it be possible to update info? The weight I posted the first time was the wrong weight. I updated the post...my weight as of Monday was 219.6. Thanks so much!
  14. Oh boy! I am lucky if I go once a week. It's very concerning. The nutritionist/doctor were really no help, they said it's what happens when you lose weight. After surgery it has been soooo difficult. I take benefiber but that does no good. You're not alone.

  16. Yes, I have not only had a break out on my face but on my chest and back as well. It's crazy! Like all of you I had clear and nice skin...now it's so weird and the total opposite. I'm going to ask my Dr about this the next time I see him.
  17. OH MY GOSH! I'm sooooooo sorry this happened! I wish you a speedy recovery and much success. You can definitely do it just gotta take it one day at a time!
  18. I've lost a 5-gallon bottle of water or an average human leg, WOW!!!!! I'm almost at an elephant’s heart! This is hilarious and AWESOME! Thanks
  19. I ♥ zumba! I haven't been since I had my surgery but I used to go religiously before. After the new year I will definitely start back up. It's an awesome workout. Going to a class is 10 x better then doing the dvd's. I bought the dvds like 4 yrs ago and never used them. You should try it out!
  20. YES YES YES!!!!!!! I've been sick more then I have ever been in my entire life! I just got over a REALLY bad flu and I've caught everything under the sun since October. I'm glad it's not just me . But I wouldn't change it for anything.
  21. Thanks so much for responding ladies! Sorry I didn't respond sooner but after I made that post I got a very very very bad case of the flu! It was terrible! Unfortunately I'm not 100% yet but I'm getting there. This is the first day out of bed...I guess the only good thing about being sick is that I lost 7 lbs last week. Anyway, you guys are right I'm coming to terms with the fact that my body doesn't work the same way as everyone else, band/no band. It's going to be a slow process no matter what and I can take that...as long as it's coming off. Thanks for your help and advice!
  22. Yay congrats! It's definitely hard to imagine when we're starting this process that we'll actually be able to reach onederland. I hope to get there soon...just 30 more lbs and I'll be joining you!!! You're an inspiration...keep going!
  23. Thanks for responding Tami! Congrats to you as well. It's a great thing! You're right! I have measured myself and I take monthly pictures, the change is noticeable. I feel WONDERFUL in my "new body" and I can't wait for it to continue. I have lost a good amount of inches so I'm happy about that. What I guess is most concerning to me is that my weight loss will stall and won't go anywhere...that I'll be stuck at 35 like I was stuck at 4 lbs that time I mentioned before. One day at a time though.
  24. I tried the chewable Multivitamin and would gag every time. It was disgusting! I went to Vitamin world and got liquid multi & Calcium. They aren't bad. It's like taking a shot and you're done. You have to keep them refrigerated so it tastes better cold. Good luck!
  25. I ♥♥♥ the biggest loser! I have been trying to do this even before getting banded. I try to join but it doesn't recognize the team name, I even searched by city & state. HELP!
