  1. Heather~ I've wondered where you've been and I've missed you! Since you live in CA I bet there are a variety of lap band doctors if you want to switch to a different one. When was your last fill? It sounds like you need a fill visit and a remeet with the nutritionist. Look in the yellow pages for a therapist that works w/ WLS patients, I bet there is one in your area. If you are properly filled you won't overeat because it will come back up, this is my experience. Hang in there, I know you can get it moving in the right direction again, Joan
  2. 31 miles done I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving! Joan
  3. Joan checking in at 175.6, that's a loss of 1.4#.
  4. 27 miles done, 33 miles to go! Joan
  5. Vicky, You are doing great! We have about the same amount of weight left to lose. I've lost 58# and you've lost more than twice that amount but at the one year mark we are at about the same place, interesting. I am a size 12 pants, medium top and as my husband says in his non-elegant way, I look " almost normal", lol. I have been walking multiple days a week 2 miles at a time and working out at the gym 2-3 times a week. My repositioning surgery and hiatal hernia repair is scheduled for December 8th. I bet you get compliments everywhere you go! Joan
  6. Remember to weigh in tomorrow, Tuesday. Good Luck!
  7. Thanks Larry! It looks great as usual. I had a combo productive and relaxing weekend. Thanksgiving day shopping done, house fairly well cleaned, laundry done, front yard cleaned up and deep watered, bed linens changed, additional shopping, cooking, church, plus reading , TV and computing. All in all a great weekend!
  8. I am able to update my weight ticker but my exercise ticker wil not go to the ticker site when I click on it? So, I'll just log my miles this way: 25 miles done, 35 miles to go, yikes! Joan
  9. My post op instructions said to take Milk of Magnesia for constipation. Joan
  10. So sorry about your difficulties! Did you have your band surgically repositioned before or did it always slip back into place on its own? If it hasn't been repositioned surgically why can the surgeon not reposition now? Don't blame yourself! You did the best you could. I wish you a speedy recovery! Joan
  11. Joan JaGo~ I'd say go easier than you have been to give your body time to build up and so you don't injure yourself. 3 miles of the walk away the pounds in a day might be too much for you. The 1 mile WATP dvd 2 times a day would probably be gentler on your body than the 2 miles dvd at one time. Listen to your body.
  12. Wow, there are some really big "losers" this week! Congratulations! Joan checking at 177.0, down .6#. Last week was 2+ pounds, this week less. That's how my body rolls. Larry~ With all your partying this past weekend you're lucky you stayed the same, lol!
  13. Hello, My band has slipped and I have a hiatal hernia (again). My surgery to fix everything up is December 8th. If your band slipped and you had a revision surgery will you tell me about it? And if you had a hiatal hernia at the time of your slip and revision surgery did your hiatal hernia reoccur? Thanks!! Joan
  14. Have a great week! Joan
  15. Thanks for posting your experience. My band is slipped and I have another hiatal hernia. My band will be repositioned on 12-8-11 and the hernia will be repaired. Did you have a lot of vomiting? Is this why you think your band might have slipped? I have had so many problems with vomiting and reflux. My band is now empty until after repair. I am scared that this will happen again in the future. I hope you are feeling better and that your band will work great for you! Joan
  16. stuck...vomiting...reflux...slipped band
  17. My dogs are loving their walks! Joan
  18. Yikes! Be sure to stick to liquids only for a couple days to help your stomach lining and esophagus heal. Joan
  19. I am excited to see that most of us lost this week, WTG. Let's keep it going through the holidays. What a novel idea, to stay the same or even lose during the holidays! Joan
  20. I kinda feel the same way you do. My band is slipped and I will have it repositioned next month. I will see my surgeon this week and ask for some detailed answers. He says only 2% of bands slip. I have a hernia with my stomach at this time which I don't fully understand. I am gonna ask how likely it is to have another hernia and or slip occur. Your port issue is probably separate from your band slipping. Will your new insurance cover fills or will you have to self pay and if so can you afford to self pay for your fills? Best wishes to you. Let us know how you're doing! Joan
  21. Joan checking in at 177.6, a loss of 2.2#, Yeah!
