  1. I have a Lump around my port. I just poped out about a week ago. I was banded on 9-14. I went to the MD and he said "well thats not suppose to be there" Duh. So I get to have another CT on Monday. I just wan this band to work. I am so disappointed
  2. Thats about the same for a private agency in Minnesota. Good Luck:thumbup:
  3. We are going through the foster care system So it is 100% free. The state picks up bill. We also get a 13000 dollar tax credit for the adoption. This is not the reason we chose foster care adoption but it will help. The Children in foster care are older. Most of them above the age of 5 and they have trouble past will need some extra TLC. But I wan to be a Mom and maybe that doesn't mean a baby but I can still give a child a a forever home.
  4. My MD had me on a regular diet after a week. I was banded on the 14th I am trying hard not to over eat but with out a fill its hard. Hang in there. Once you get a fill it should be much easer. Or I least thats what i am telling myself
  5. My infertility doc is who recommended the band. I failed IUI 5 times and the next step is IVF but they wanted me to lose weight first. We are in the process of adopting now We are waiting for a match. Good Luck to all of you TTC I cant wait to lose weight and try again.

  11. Ok so i went to buy groceries today. I have been banded for 1 week. I'm on a full diet and have a little restriction with meals but it doesn't last. So I have been hanging on by my finger tips to lose this week. I am down 5 pounds. So I get into the store and freak out. I just didn't know what to by and I wanted to get all the wrong items. I just couldn't focus on what was good for me. I just felt like I was going to fail the band and never be able to have children. So I purchased a few items and went to my car and cryed and cryed. Any one else have trouble shopping?
  12. Some how the hight number was easier to say since I had lost 23 pounds. I kept say to him I down 2 or 4 pounds but was he wasnt really counting. Then to say I lost 23 pounds I feel like I wantted him to know how much more I had to go. He is being so suportted and now he can keep me accountable:wink2: I cant wait to say 100 pounds gone!
  13. Yes, He did a CT that when they found the pneumonia. Of course the fever happen in the middle of the night so i had to weight until the morning to find out what was going on.
  14. I know this silly but my husband didn't know how much I weighted. Well tonight I told him my starting weight and my weight now. I felt good to share it with him so he can encourage me as I start to lose with the band. I was so scarred of I dont know what I mean it obvious I was over weight and have surgery to fix but say the number 317 and 295 out loud was so hard. But it feels great now that I have. I love him so much:thumbup:
  15. the fever is gone for the last 6 hours with meds so I hope it stays away. It was awful to have the shakes and sweats with post opt pain
  16. No I was fine before surgery, I felt great. But after thinking about they had a hard time getting me a room after surgery so the kept me on a bed in a flat position for 8 hours. I complained of chest pain when I took a deep breath in the hospital and they told me it was gas pain. But now I know what was really going on. Well at least I'm feeling better now
  17. I was baned on the 14th and yesterday I woke up with a fever of 102.2. I felt awful. I went in and had a ct scan, The MD stated that I had a touch of pneumonia:cursing:. Did any one else get pneumonia after surgery? When did you go back to work? I am so excited to be on the path to recover. I look forward to doing it with you all.
