  1. I have been there with Cigna and have fought the fight. I was very hard and I wanted to give up but they made me mad with all the hoop la and so I fought harder. Hang in there and keep fighting. It is worth it in the long run. I was banded the first of June and have lost 40lbs.
  2. HELP ! as always i am screaming for help. I had a fill (my 3rd) I had to go back the following week because i was not able to get anything to stay down. They took a small amt out. The following week (last week)they had to take more out because I was having acid reflux so bad at night. Well I can now eat or drink anything and went to support group today and have gained 2lbs. What is a girl to do?
  3. I am newly out but have lost 40lbs. when i walk i hear my skin flapping. Lord know what would happen if i tried running. My question is how do you get insurance to pay for this procedure?
  4. I am in the same boat I have had a total to 2 fills and am scheduled for my 3rd one on the 28th of this month. This past week I have had two episodes of PBing. I have been under a lot of stress (my father has been ill). One time I had eaten pork barbacue and the next time I had eaten a piece of cinnamon bread. It was and awful experience. I have not lost any weight and am afraid that is because I have not eaten a lot for fear of PBing again. I need your help I am 11weeks post op.
  5. Glad to see this post- I am in the same boat! I have lost 30lbs and cant seem to get the scales to move. Help fellow bandsters!!!
  6. I have been at 190 or 191 seems like forever. I so want to get past that.
  7. I am so glad someone else has asked this question. For some reason I am not sure of the amounts of food I should be eating. I was banded on July 1 and have started mushies yesterday. I do not want to mess up what has been done. I will get my first fill on 8/3. Please help!!!!
  8. I to will have my surgery tomorrow! I look forward to a new life without all this FAT. I am fighting the liquid diet today and hope to make it okay. Good luck to you and to all the other.
  9. I dont know what I would do without stalking these boards. I too am having surgery on the 1st. (the first day of the rest of my life). I have been on the protein shakes for 2 weeks. I have only lost 5lbs. but that is a bag of sugar that my heart does not have to carry around. How much weight did most of you loose the first week or so after you were banded?
  10. This is my first time posting but all of you have been a great support. I have my surgery on July 1, I also have some fears! I am always afraid of being put to sleep but I worry will this work? I have been on the protein shake diet for two weeks and am starving (just wanna eat). I have only lost 4 lbs. so wonder if I will even loose once I have the band on. I think my metabolism has become flat line. thanks for all the great information I have found on these boards it has been great. Good luck tomorrow to all the surgery patients.
