  1. I am 7months out and just started to have one 1-2x week. Saved alot of money on not buying them! But must first meet my water intake. pat
  2. I will do a 1/2 banana with peanut butter or apple with PB. Also found a gummy fiber pill and it works like a champ. Good luck! Pat
  3. I liked the grape. But your taste buds do change after surgery. I just ordered different flavors at everymeal in the hospital and took home at least 4 because I could not finish it. That way you don't have to pay to try them. pat
  4. I just had it done this Monday. You have sedation given to you by anesthesia. I would not trust myself to make any decisions after it. Came home and slept 3 hours. pat
  5. The only one that I could stomach was the grape. They are nasty pat

  7. Up to this week I have not felt hungry! I was sleeved 1/26/2011. food is just work and would rather drink as well. Plus I fill so fast with food. Having issues with many things wanting to stay down. pat
  8. I am no expert. But I found myself so stressed since surgery because it was my coping skill for stress and now it was removed. I went back to the psychologist that did my pre op to help me deal with it. I am so glad I did it is so much easier to unload to a stranger. Do it! pat

I had my surgery 1/26/11. I have just had 4 bites of a hamburger and I am over stuffed. I stopped my fluids 30 minutes ago and chewed at least 25 times. The same thing happens with chicken. Is this normal? pat
  10. http://www.youbars.com/buildabar I came across this place to make your own. Have not tried them but thought I would pass it along. pat
  11. Doing a alpine punch today. Grape is my favorite but I find that if you pour it over ice and leave it to dilute alitte they are all better. They taste very sweet to me. pat
  12. Not really a easy way out. You need to monitor your intake and exercise. It does help that your stomach cannot handle too much and if you over do then there is a price to pay. It is just the same except the stomach has a new fill line. Now 5 weeks outs I can't believe how much I used to consume. Plus it has gotten me to try new foods I never would have. Best part right now is my energy level is 10x what it was 5 weeks ago! Pat
  13. I am having the same sticking issues. Plus a noise that I hear. Had a upper gi and it was ok now they want to scope me as well. Doc believes it is reflux.. Good luck to you! pat
  14. Since being sleeved 1/26/11 I have had to taste the worst things I have ever had to in my life. Between the vitamins, liquid lortab, liquid carfate, protein powders and now I got a "shot" of liquid protein that tastes like dirty socks. This must be a form of punishment for tasting everything good I had before surgery. Feeling like I am going to have hair grow on my chest from it all!!!!!!! Pat
  15. I am just over a month out of getting my sleeve. Seriously I can't seem to get the water, protein and then not drink for 30 minutes before and after trying to eat something in a day. It is rather exhausting. I just fininshed 3 saltines with ham on it and have reset my timer on the phone to wait for my 30 minutes to be up to drink again. I just bought a power protein at GNC that is 100ml with 42 grams of protein in it to get my protein in. Has anyone else tried these? pat
  16. My hair grows so fast and thick will look forward to not cutting it every 4 weeks. pat
  17. I handled the stress of my life including my special needs child with eating. Now what?? Feeling very raw will accept any help. pat

Looking forward to no snow an iceto get out and about more. I am misssing the Diet Pepsi! pat

  23. I have a date and I am so ready to get this going. I am a 50 year old with a 8 yr special needs girl I adopted as a single parent and need to keep up with her. I so want to ice skate with her and maybe this summer go swimming with her instead of finding others to take her all the time. But mainly I want to feel better! Bending over is such a big thing now and I just want my body to stay up with my mind. Will keep you posted and please tell me any suggestions you have. Thanks
