  1. Almost there

I got my lapband 9/22/10. I am wondering if my scale is broken. I got my last fill on June 7, my doctor felt I didn't need a fill but I told him I was very hungry at night. So he gave me .2 cc's under flourscopy. I think I have a total of 5.0 in a 10 cc band. He gave me the right amount to put me at my sweet spot. I really have to make myself eat, I don't get as hungry as I used to. The reason why I think my scale is broken is because the first week after my fill i lost 3 lbs. I went to my primary dr. and he has not seen me since i got my clearance to have the surgery. He was very happy with my weight loss. He was not happy that I had stopped taking my high blood pressure medicine and my blood pressure was high 130/100, he told me to start taking my medicine again and don't stop taking them. So that was a downer. This morning I got on the scale (I don't know why) it's friday and i usually only get on the scale on Mondays. What a surprise I lost 7 lbs. 5 more pounds and I have lost 100 lbs. Never thought I could do it. I am so pround of myself. I just need to make myself exercise more to tone up the flab. I do walk a lot. I hurt my shoulder a few months ago so that has made me stop. I have to start going to therapy, but going on vacation so will start when I return. At this rate I may be at my goal weight or close to it by 9/22/11.

  8. Question

For those of you that have had surgery and is losing weight what type of support under garments do you wear. I know once I start losing I will be jiggling all over. For example, Spanx, Body Magic. Something not too expensive because my size will be changing rapidly. Trying to think positive. Thanks for your help.
  9. 15 days

15 days to go, i can't wait. I am getting a little bit nervous. On Sept. 14th, i go for a visit with the dr., i guess they will tell me everything. I also do my pre-op that day. Hopefully everything will go well. I have been trying to chew my food longer and not drink and eat, but it is so hard. Someone please let me know how you do it correctly.:thumbup::smile:
  10. I am approved

While taking my endoscopy, which everything is fine. I got a call from my surgeon's office that I have been approved by the insurance company. Now I am excited. My date is 9/22.:thumbup:
  11. My Medical Dr.

Today i went to my last appt. with the surgeon. I had to see the surgeon 3 times and then my paper work can be submitted to the Aetna Insurance. I have seen the pysch, nutritionist, i have my endoscopy appt for 8/27. Now my hold up is the medical dr. I dropped off the sample letter for him to write and then forward it to the surgeon's office, so they can add it to their package to the ins. co. That was 2 weeks ago and he still did not write it yet. I am screaming inside. I am ready to have my surgery and start getting skinny. Anyone have this problem, I have already called his office twice. I will call it everyday until it is done.
  12. Medical Dr.

Just called my PCP again. They wrote the letter and they charged me $25 and then they didn't want to mail me a copy or send it to my surgeon. When this is over i will definitely look for a new PCP.
