  1. Stick with it guys. I had the same preop as you crecia. Days 2 and 3 were hellacious. However...I was banded this past Thursday and I am back at work and feeling good. Its all worth it ... i am looking forward to my post op check up on Friday - then I can move to yogurts and other full liquids. YAY!! Congrats you guys! Keep up the motivation
  2. Welcome girl! You found the support that you need here! I am glad you decided to take this step for yourself and no one else. That is the right way to start! I am scheduled for surgery on Thursday - yes 2 days from now. I am private pay so I didnt have to go through all of the insurance prerequisits. But I did have to break through to my husband who of course loves me as I am. He needed to understand that I was first and fore most doing this for ME and in the long run it would benefit him and our children. Now I think he gets it and he is being extremely supportive. Welcome!
  3. :thumbdown:I am on day 8 of my pre-op diet which consists of 5 Opti-Fast shakes per day. I can have sugar free jello and popsicles. I can also have any zero calorie no carb drinks. I am only allowed 1 bouillon a day if i feel lightheaded or sick. Days 2 and 3 of the diet consisted of horrible headaches and sever weakness. I am drinking plenty of water. It seems as though the hunger is gettign worse though. Any suggestions or comments? I have 7 days until surgery and FOOD IS NOT AN OPTION.
  4. I am on day 7 of my pre-op diet. 5 Opti-Fast shakes per day. Thats it. Days 2 and 3 were the worst for me! I was miserable...not hungry.....massive headaches and absolutely no energy to speak of. Now I feel great. i have lost 10.5 lbs however, I am still struggling mentally with the food. It is hard for me to be alone...thats when the food calls me from the pantry. But I just keep thinking it is ALL worth it in the end!!!! You can do it!!!
  5. I am so sorry to hear of your delay Kissalvoe......Have you spoken to your physician to see what their explanation is?
  6. My doc has me on Opti-Fast. Each RTD shake has 17G of Protein. You need the protein so that you can no feel hungry. I am on Day 2 of the drinks. I feel crappy due to the lack of caffeine and carbs but i just need push through the next 2 weeks. Surgery scheduled for the 23rd.
  7. I have a Sept 23rd surgery date. I didnt have to go throught the insurance approval process because my insurance doesnt cover the surgery - so I am self pay which make the process faster I guess.
