  1. He watches you like a hawk and supports you by drinking wine in front of you, knowing how badly you would like a glass..........that would be frustrating...lol
  2. LOL....my thoughts exactly. You will learn to ignore the preachers.... no worries. I drink beer here and there and it will be fine. You being a fisherman and all, you may have to cut back some. It's going to be hard out fishing without a beer huh? lmao I know fishermen! I have had 6 fills now. My sixt fill was done on August 17 and I tried to drink a beer on August 27. I took one drink and it came right back up. Way too bubbley, so just waith the band will "help" you stop soon. I was also able to eat pretty much whatever I wanted untill around my 4 fill. I have a 10 cc band. Hang in there. The tool will come around. I was so frustrated for the first few fills.
  3. I'm betting that you need to turn down the humidity. I didn't have it in my lungs, but I would wake up able to feel the water in my nose and had to turn it down. It was on the lowest setting. I don't have to use it anymore....yah!!! Hang in there.
  4. Isn't it funny how there is always people telling us what to do. What is the most ironic is that it's people who have not been through it....so what does she know? Not trying to disrespect your family, but if you want to listen to someones' advice let it be a person who has advice on the subject to begin with. I am struggling with my bad habbits and still managed to lose 25 lbs in 3 months. It cant be said better than Liegha said it "it is a process not an event." Hang in there and visit us often!
  5. I'm so sorry to hear that. I've heard in the past that they will just place it again if/when your stomach is healed from the slippage and can take it. Good luck and don't fret. You did it once and you can do it again!
  6. My doc said I could eat before fill. I did and after the fill I felt major restriction and it was uncomfortable. I guess when he tightened the band it pushed some of the food up. From then on I eat 3 hours before fill time. Your band should still tighten fine, but the food you ate has to go somewhere, if you have some in your band area, it will go up or down. Obviously mine went up....lol.
  7. Try not to worry. This is what I go thruugh ever two weeks. Going to the doc for a fill and so worried that I've gained weight rather than lost any. I am always suprised to have lost 1lb/week. Not as much as I like but hey, it's a loss. I have been in banster hell so far as well. You are probably not eating as much as you think you are. Just compare to what you ate before. That's what I do anyway. Good luck! I hope your first fill does the trick.

I am becoming obsessed with my eating habbits. I'm always afraid that I've gained weight and when I go to the doc. I'm steadily losing 1lb/week. Is anyone else havving anxity attacks about your eating habbits?
  9. May 21, 2010 Somewhat healthy None yet........I know bad girl! 16 lbs 3ed fill yesterday and fineally have great restriction! Yay!! Happy with results so far, but want to lose 2 lbs/week instead of 1.
  10. I thought lapband hell was the term used for the time that we can eat whatever we want due to no restriction? I guess I was mistaken.
  11. The same thing happened to me and I feaked out and bought a pregnancy test........it was false! I have heard that any major surgery is likely to cause our cycle to change.
  12. Are you taking your Vitamins and reaching your Protein goals? I hope everything is okay. As far as the wightloss, I feel your pain. I am 4 weeks out of sugery and had my first fill....3 cc. I don't feel much restriction and am scheduled for my next feel on the 13 of July. Don't worry, from what I'm reading and experiencing it take a while to get to the "sweet spot" and start dropping the weight.
  13. I want I want I want!! I want and am planning for everything on here, even the belly dancing. LOL I can't wait to go clothes shopping without hiding from those huge mirrors that are impossbile to hide from in the dressing room. I hate trying on clothes now that I've gotten so heavy.
  14. The only thing I've found so far that hurts is whole chicken breast. I can eat strips, but not whole chicken. It hurts like hell going down and last time I tried it, I hat three bites and had to vomit. Sorry that is gross, but that is the first time, I've vommited since surgery. Needless to say, I am staying away from chicken for now. I havn't tried steak yet.
  15. You guys should be proud. If you are a leader, than lead somone to greener pastures. It is good that your friends are following along. Buying a house, WLS, having babies. These are wonderful things. Be proud to be an inspiration. They may be trying to hold you down, but listen to yourselves. It's sounds like you are lifting them up. That is awesome!
