My port is on the right and it was hard to begin with and just kept getting larger (like the size of a small fist). I went back to the surgeon and he aspirated it. He said I was the first one of his patients to have a seroma at the port site. Fortunately it wasn't infected but he gave me antibiotics as a precaution. The rest of the incisions are healing fine.
It will be good for you to be up and moving but I think at least 3 days is good for the band. I took a week . I was up and around in two days at the mall, & the fair for the week I was out, but I was beat and ready for my pain meds when I got home. Take your protien shakes, water, SF jello, broth, and vitamins with you and some tylenol so that you will be able to function comfortably. Good Luck!
Yes, I believe you will, but it will be according to what agrees with you after the surgery. I find that I can eat chicken and other foods without a problem but applesauce is irritating to me...go figure...
I have been taking the Building Blocks Bariatric chewable supplements and they are huge but I could see crushing them and adding them to a smoothie or something. They don't taste bad at all.
Hi Kristi, I was banded on Oct.31 and I had the same problem...I used Woodwards Gripe Water. I used it for my daughter when she was a baby instead of the Mylacon and it worked like magic then and it works very well at relieving the bloat and making you comfortable again. Hope this helps.
Halloween bandster and I had a hight protein slim fast for breakfast with a scrambled egg...anyone know if it's too soon for that. I am holding it down ok...
