  1. I'm also at around 60 lbs lost since pre-op diet. I was at a standstill for over a month and now it's flying off again.. go figure...started cooking at home and that seems to have helped. I'm at 8.5 cc in a 10 cc band. I get stuck if I eat to big a bite, eat bread or eat to fast. Having a hard time with the protein and my hair is falling out more that usual.. I am never hungry so that is good. I can still eat chocolate, so that is bad. I try to only eat sugar free...Happy New Year to everyone..
  2. hi i also got banded on monday..Monday night about 1:00 a.m. I woke up with tons of pain in my lower abdomen. I hadn't peed much and was dying of thirst. I started drinking, walking, drinking, walking, etc. I though for sure I had a UTI. Tuesday morning by 9:00 a.m. I was a little better. They gave me meds for a UTI and sent me home. I walked, drank, walked pretty much the entire day at home and most of that night. Today, four days out, I still have some gas pains in my upper left arm and burp, when getting up and down. I need to keep walking and can eat 6oz of my protein shake in an hour. Love my popsicles and can't stand the taste of my pain meds. I take them because I don't have any reason to prove to anyone that I'm strong through this. I have reduced the amount though...Hang in there guys.. and all I can say is walk. I even swept the kitchen living room and dining room at 4:00 a.m. today for something to do..
  3. while i was in hospital i burped all the way down and up the hall,,,one nurse reminded me that flatulance was very good too.. not to much of that, gas gets rid of the extra air we got during surgery and the extra air we now breathe
  4. OMG I am so glad to have seen these posts about "her". I almost didn't have it done there because of her. Dr. Simon is my surgeon, but I like everyone else. Monday is my surgery! I am excited and nervous. I have another "therapist" here in PSL that I relate to much better. Thanks goodness!
  5. I start my true low fat low carb protein diet on June 1. I have tried for the past two weeks to be good, but the last two days I have cheated...I think it's because I know June 1rst is coming up soon... I get banded on the 14th and I'm getting nervous.
  6. I will be banded on June 14, 2010. I also would like to get a support group going in the treasure coast area. I'm getting banded by Dr. Simon and go to my pre-op this week. I have started a low carb diet/high protein and have lost about 5lbs this week on that!! I'm hoping that I can be at 240 for the surgery. I figure anything I lose now is less I have to lose later..Goal is 180 for now...
  7. Getting banded on June 14th in Lake Worth, Florida. I get done teaching on June 11th. Can't wait. Looking forwards to being smaller in August when I go back to work. I'm mostly concerned about trying to keep eating the right way once I get used to having the band. I am an obsessive eater. Just eat to eat...
