  10. NO they do not cover, thats a scary risk we take unfortunately. They dont cover any complications for a procedure they would not have covered. :biggrin0: I think thats why it is so important to do exactly what they tell us and pick a MD your comfortable with.
  11. If I found a shot with 50gr Protein in 4 oz but it has 230 calories. Im only planning on using it for the first 10 days (clear liquid phase of post op) so do you guys think it an acceptable amount of calories for that many grams of Proteins? Also is there any truth to the notion that the body only can absorb 30gr at a time? Im thinking that Isopure has 15gr protein and 60 calories. So to get my protein in I would need to drink atleast 4 of these then the calories would be 240 so there's no difference right? Thanks!
  12. Hey I just basically asked this same ? I want to lose 30lbs by Sept. My surgery is June15 so basically 10 weeks after my surgery I would like to have lost 30lbs!
  13. WOW Angie look at all that loss already! Good job!!!

  15. I know I was SO excited about the no pre op liquids! Im sorry you are having to do it
  16. Yes I did! I just feel more comfortable with him with everything that is going on elsewhere right now
  17. I have not taken Plaquenil in about 2 mos. now and I am doing ok. So it was not an issue for me for surgery. Sorry I cant me more help on that.
  18. Wow! 50lbs in 2 months!! Amazing congrats!!!
  19. I was told no liquid diet because my BMI was less than 40. I do have to do a one week diet of high Protein, low fat and carbs. I can handle that!
  20. Did they do it while you were asleep in the OR? Was it a big help? I cant wait
  21. Hi, I have a very mild form of RA. As of right now I only take Mobic for relief. I will stop those a week before surgery. I have not taken methotrexate at all (thank goodness) and I have not taken Plaqunel is about a month. So I should be fine there. Thats the reason I was so happy when I found about the sleeve. The band would have been a big risk for me because of the high probability of needing steroids and lots of NSIADS in the future.
  22. I am BEYOND excited! I can hardly sleep honestly. My husband says I am obsessed I just cant wait!
  23. I have seen a few folks talking about a spinal with meds for pain after surgery, does he do this on everyone or just certain people? Sounds kinda nice to me I am scheduled with him June 15!!
  24. Oh my I am so sorry to hear about this. Please let us know what you find out when the Dr comes back in
