After years of dealing with medical issues such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrom and Hypothydorism I felt the Lapband was my best option for a new start to life. I was taking 9 different medications for the insullin resistance, thyroid, cholesterol, hormones ect. I was physically active and in good shape when I started noticing a change in my female cycle as well as weight gain. After my insurance denied me the gastric Dr. Rendon and my 3 other doctors made a packet for appeal. The decision was made to try for the Lapband and it was approved. I am very happy to say that 4.5weeks out I've lost 25lbs and have stopped taking many of the medications I was on.
