  3. Mine was all screwed up for the first 3 months, I had the opposite happen though. I had 3 periods in a month. It has since gone back to normal.. once a month and pretty regular...
  4. I had surgery at Kaiser Richmond. I started the first week of May and had my surgery on June 22nd. I was very luck in how fast it proceeded. I only had to loose 10lbs to get my surgery, I ended up loosing 36 lbs by the morning of my surgery. Hope all goes quick for you :-) good luck
  5. Mine started to thin out around the 5th month. I am at 8 months now and it has slowed down. No one notices but me and my hairdresser, but I had very thick hair to begin with I take Biotin everyday and it helps with regrowth, I also only wash my hair about 2 times a week as to not cause any extra stress on it.. good luck on your journey
  6. I did not have to take any, I just had to do the milk of magnesia the night before.. had mine done at kaiser richmond, dr fisher
  7. I have been taking my pills whole since about 3 months out.. if it is a "horse" pill though I would wait another month or so or cut it in half
  8. I had my surgery at Kaiser RIchmond with Dr Fisher, (Dr Baggs assisted) also had hernia repair I am 8 months out.. still learning what my stomach likes and dosn't like.. as it changes constantly .. but other then that feeling pretty good.. any questions feel free to ask Sherri
  9. I am sure they work, but my NUT said they don't have enough of the vit's & min we need after surgery I take the Bariatric Advantage capsules (3 a day) , they are small and easy to swallow
  10. you only have to sip for the first 3 months or so... I am amost 8 months out now and can take several big swigs/gulps at a time. I would not try Chugging it down though thththtth no real tips, just wanted you to know that part does not last forever
  11. mine came like four times after surgery with only a week or two inbetween. Doctor said it was normal because of the stress your body is put through. after the first couple months mine stabalized and is now regular once a month
  12. I had the same problem, I bought the Bariatric Advantage multi and calcium and they are terrible. I did liquid Vitamins until I could do pills.... I got the liquid form at "viatimin Shoppe" Now I take 3 bariatric advantage mutli capsules a day, 6-8 calcium citrate petities, 2 chewable Iron and subling b12, and 1 bariatiric advantage boitin capsule hope you find a solution that your tummy can handle..
  13. sending good thoughts your way....... get ready to start your new life :-)
  14. I drink vodka, rum, liquors, mixed drinks, margaritas, martini's so on... but did not have any until about 5-6 months out. I would not recomend it any sooner. everyone's tummy is different... you will have to feel it out and find out what your comfortable with and just FYI you really can't drink while you eat after the sleeve.. up to 15 min before and about 30 min to an hr after good luck
  15. I wieghed 298 when I started my pre-op. When surgery day came I was 262, so 36 lbs pre-op I was doing a low carb, high protien, low fat diet.. I did not have to go on liquids until day before surgery
  16. ask for a prescription to Carafate... It is used to treat ulcers, but can also help in this situation. I started having stomach spasams after I ate anything about 5 weeks out. Taking this medication before eating helped a great deal. I is a liquid that coats and protects your stomach lining. hope you feel better soon !
  17. I have a Vitamix Blender and It is fabulous !! great for making soups, smoothies, protien drinks.. they are a bit pricey though.. I got mine for x mass.
  18. I had one when I woke up, did not know I would have one before hand. It was no biggie though. First time I had to go use the bathroom the nurse took it out. I did not feel a thing. I would not worry too much about it. Good luck to you
  19. make sure you take a comfortable robe (for walking around after surgery) and loose/comfortable pants for the trip home. I wore sweats with elastic waist. You don't want anything rubbing against your incisions if you can help it. I had my surgery at Kaiser Richmond in California, about 2 hrs from home. good luck to you !!!!
  20. I was supposed to be just i night but ended up staying 2. I had a hernia repair also. I was in a lot of pain and very weak. I did get up and walk every couple hours, but the dr did not like how I looked, and i had not had anything to drink/eat yet so he keept me another night. I would have been miserable if he would have sent me home the next day. I don't have much tolerance for pain though.. everyone is different.. good luck to you !
  21. Congrats !
  22. I am sending good thoughts your way.... :-))))))))))
