  1. We'll all be there eventually, each of us at our own pace, but we'll never look back again! Let's all keep up the good work!
  2. Congrats - I also crossed into ONEDERLAND today at the same weight--199.8! It's such a great feeling!
  3. Thrilled to be under 200 for the first time in years! Also, broke the 60 pound mark! yay!
  4. Everyday...and lately it's ticking me off! I haven't seen a loss in 10 days...very discouraging since I eat around 1100 calories a day (never more than 1200) and exercise 3 days a week. Come on, scale....MOVE!!!
  5. I was told that the port has titanium in it which can set off metal detectors. I carry a card from the manufacturer that explains that I have a sugical implant.
  6. I haven't had a problem with cole slaw or broccoli slaw--which I eat a few times a week. Maybe it is the change in meds...that's been known to mess with a tummy. Hope you feel better soon!
  7. I have a 14cc band. My first fill was 6cc...second fill 0.5cc, and today at the third fill I got 1.5cc...so I'm more than half filled now. My fills are done laying down, no flouro, numbing shot fist. Best wishes!
  8. I felt swollen after my first fill--4 days ago. I got 6cc in a 14cc band. I was swollen for 2 days. I was told liquids for 24 hours, mushies for 24, then solids after that. I feel less hungry in between meals ( was VERY hungry prior to fill) and am eating less. Don't think I'm at the sweet spot just yet but I'm happier than before!
  9. My surgeon told me that at TTOM if your hands and feet swell then so does the lining of your stomach. So, it is linked and you can feel much tighter during, well you know. Good luck!
  10. I weigh once a week, first thing in the a.m., no clothes. I think for me it's the most consistent way to track. So far so good anyways. It's kind of exciting when it's time to step on the scale...what will it be this time??? haha
  11. thanks for the response...trial and error has led me to the conclusion that its really hunger pain...when I get food down it subsides for a while. The bloating is gas...every day is different!
  12. Hi All...I was banded June 8th. I had some severe swelling issues day 3&4, which had subsided now. Aside from that I definitely feel restriction. My stomach is growling and churning and yelling at me (lol) but due to the restriction I feel I can't get enough food down to ease it! I'm also bloating as the day wears on...my tummy is relatively (ha) flat in the morning but by late afternoon I look pergnant, and the belly if firm. Are these 2 issues considered part of Bandster Hell or should I call my doctor? I have my first post op appointment on Tuesday 6/22. Thanks for any info you veterans out there can share! I really appreciate it! ~~Betsy (who needs to get herself a ticker!)
  13. I will be 1 week post op tomorrow and am having an issue I hope someone can shed some light on...I definitely have restriction...but when I'm "full up top" let's say, my stomach (bottom portion) is churning and growling and having very bad hunger pangs....It's nauseating and painful quite honestly and I'm not able to get anything down/thru to alleviate the pangs. Anyone else having this? Any ideas as to what I can do? Oh...the gas gets worse as the day wears on too---to the point where I"m bloated/puffy like a pregnancy. I think I'm having a rough time...no??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
