  1. I'm scheduled with a civilian surgeon and am covered by Tricare Prime. My BMI is 41% and I'm hoping that Tricare will cover me. So far my pre op has been covered (except the nutritionist). Has anyone been denied?
  2. My problem isn't co-workers but my family. I've told my husband's family but have not said anything to mine. My dad (who must weigh close to 300 pounds) would counsel me to "cut portions, drink more water, stop baking (hardly bake anymore anyhow), and exercise". Hypocritical if you ask me. Plus he refuses to see a doctor. I have a wedding in August and my surgery is scheduled for May 5th. I don't plan on saying anything until then. My husband's family though is very supportive.
  3. Congrats on starting. I'm a month away from surgery and I'm both excited and scared. I have 40 years of bad habits to change. Pre op stuff doesn't worry me just what happens afterward (including "what if I fail?").
