I actually went to Dr. Maher to have the gastric bypass.  I went in for surgery and when I woke up I was told by a nurse that they could not do the bypass.  Dr said I had way to many adhesions from previous surgeries.  They could have done it but would have had to cut me from sternum to pelvic bone and remove adhesions.  My husband said absolutely not and after I awoke we decided to do lap band 2 days later.  So I had lap band surgery and have lost over 20lbs in 3 weeks.
