  4. You said it girl! I think I lost 40 lbs or so and gained them back.... I am wondering if anyone here knows how to start a new thread... I am looking for a lot of support from other bandsters since I am reclaiming my band which I had been ignoring for a couple of years now, after much thinking, and even thinking about removing it, I am going to give the band and myself another chance, today I am going for my first fill after three years, please wish me luck and if anyone wants to befriend me I am here, I need all the help I can get from you guys, I think most of you know, it is from strangers you get the support and kindness, and the understanding since we are going through the same thing, I feel sometimes among family and friends our efforts get sabotaged....

  6. Hi there! Has anyone felt mild pain in their stomach post op, it is a mild that feels needlely, like tiny needles are travelling in your stomach coming and going.... could it be because I am eating the wrong foods for my new pouch? or the meds or something? Please respond if you have felt this kind of thing before, I should mentioned that I am six weeks post op...
  7. Congratulations, you are and inspiration to us all and an example that yes we can! Anything is possible!
  8. Thank you, that would be really nice, but I am on softies still, what else would you suggest of the soft foods I mean
  9. Hello guys, what would accompany maybe 3 oz of chicken salad with?, we can't have bread, but is there some sort of substitute among the foods we are able to eat that would kind of do the trick?
  10. Hi Allie Kat, you and I both, I am really hungry and I haven't had my fill yet, I'll have my first fill on April 30. I have learned not to drink with meals but I have to work on getting all the protein in during the day. If you like cream of wheat, they have an instant, whole grain, that has 7 grams of protein and 6 of fiber, which I think is great... if you like it creamier, you can make it with milk instead of water and it comes out really nice... I have to concentrate on excersise as you mentioned...let's keep up the good work and hope for the best outcome possible... we will be Divas!!!!!!!!
  11. Hi! I was banded on March 31, and also felt pain when bending over but it eventually goes away....
  12. Wao, congratulations Peaches on all that weight loss, I am hoping to be there in that time frame as well! Good luck on the issue at hand, keep us posted....
  13. Thank you Donna, I will try that.... I did do that earlier today but it didn't seem to work... and what about your profile picture, how do I get that to show up on my threads or profile, I have one there but can't see it once I am out of my own profile, can't see it in any of my postings or anything.... do you know how to do that?
  14. Thank you! that really helps! that means I could have 2 oz of salmon filet with mashed potatoes for lunch, right?
  15. Question, how do you get the tickers and markers to post on your messages?????
  16. You guys are very brave! I took three weeks from work, I was banded on the 31st of March and went back to work yesterday, April 19, but I don't think is enough time to get accustomed to your new lifestyle and changes.... I too spend my days at a desk, but like someone else said, just getting my clothes ready, making sure I have something for lunch, ironing, doing my hair, make up, I am soooooo tired.... but happy, do not regret it, I think this was a good decision, we will get there......hang in there and if you do have to go back to work right away, try to get as much rest as you can while home, if you can, have someone else take care of the meals and the house, etc., most of us, I think, have gotten to this point because we take care of everyone and everything else before we take care of us...good luck to you, you will not regret it.
  17. Thank you Jane, You see my doctors have not cleared me for meat or fish yet, I do have a meeting with the nutritionist on Thursday, I am suppose it will help to leave the appointment with a grocery shopping list. Are you hungry though? because I am famished! You must be doing well though, your fill is not until May, mine is on the 30 and I am dying to get it....I hope we can keep in touch, thanks again Jane...
  18. If you were banded around March 31, could you share with me please whether you have had your first fill, what are you eating these days? I haven't had a fill yet (scheduled on 4/30) and the meeting with nutritionist and nurse practitioner is this coming Thursday. I have lost around 21 lbs on the liquid diet but now three weeks post op and not filled yet I am starting to feel hunger, has anyone gone through this? any recipes? anything? pleeeeeease! Thank you in advance for your replies. P.S. One more thing, anyone from Massachusetts, specifically, the North Shore, (Salem, Lynn, Peabody, Revere, Saugus, Swampscott, Marblehead)... if so, maybe we can meet or support each other on the phone....., please let me know if you are interested in having a bandster buddy....
