So I have been banded since April of this year. I have lost maybe 15 lbs for far. I have been working my ass off. I have gonr from a size 32 to a 26 but I'm not losing any weight? How is this? I know thesize diff is great but not seeing the scale moving is driving me nuts! Any Ideas on what I might need to do? I know I wasn't eating like I should have been. SO I am going to suck it up and go to a strict clean eating plan. I have not been logging my food at all and I know I have been eating way too fast. I dont want to go thru everything I have and still be big. This was supposed to be a major life change and I am going to do this! I have just been a big slacker....food wise! LOL. Just needed to vent. Like I said if you have any ideas for me to try pls let me know!!
  3. Thank you so much for your replies. I have decided to go w/ a personal trainer and nutritionist for now. I'm not in love with the processed food idea. Thanks again!!!
  4. Hi. I was on mine when I had my surgery done. They let me wear my cotton panties and a pad. They said that was fine. Don't worry it should be ok.
  5. Yes, it is about eating right, but programs like WW and JC help you learn how to eat right, support you when you need it and motivate you. You can't always get that kind of support from a book. These programs are another "tool", just like the band is, to help you with your lifestyle change. That is why many people join WW and JC after getting their band.
  6. Has any one done or currently doing Jenny Craig? I was thinking about joining for the portion control alone.I went in for a consult and they are set up to work with people that have had WLS. Please LMK if this has helped any of you. Thanks!!!

  8. Ok Thursday I walked 2 miles. Friday I did an hr of water arobics, and 2.5 miles. I'm feeling good!!!
  9. I have been banded since April and had my first fill 2 weeks ago. I have no idea what to be eating. My Dr said he'd go over how many calories I should be getting and what I should be eating but he never did. I am winging it and I dont think I am doing very well. If any one could LMK meal plans that work would be great. Like Breakfast, lunch and dinner... how much protien, veggies, carbs... anything would help me!!!!
  10. Ok I walked a little over 2 miles today and did an hr water arobics class. I feel great!!!!
  11. I would love to do this too. I start my water arobics tomorrow but that is only 2x a week and I need more then that. So I will challenge myself to walking 2+ miles a day and strength training for at least 15 min a day.:tongue2:
  12. I really do not see why you wouldn't be able to participate. If it's because the band helps you not eat as much then everyone taking diet pills, doing JCraig and WW shouldnot be able to do it either. They don't understand that we HAVE to stick to a eating plan and exercise. We still have to do the work. We have to make the right decisions. We have a "tool" not a magic wand and IMHO I think it's unfair not to let you join. Had to get that off my chest!!! LOL
