Got Banded December 3, 2010
I was also banded on the 3rd. Not having much pain, getting in and out of bed is the hardest. Today I did go shopping and was in and out of the car about 6 times and still feeling pretty good. Had some oatmeal today w/no problem but dont really have a taste for anything either. Good luck and keep me posted.

So what are you going to do when you loose your weight
I want to be able to buy the outfit in the regular size store window. Shorts!!! I cant remember the last time I wore shorts, it must have been 8 years ago.

december 2010 post op
Banded yesterday and I dont have much pain at all, mostly tenderness in my belly. I had the single incision surgery. The OR time was about 45 min, then around an hour in recovery, then down to get an xray(to make sure everything was placed right) Back to recovery they made me drink some water and go to the bathroom-then discharged. I feel good have been walking around the house because its too cold outside. I was not afraid of the surgery, I was more nervous because I work on the campus of the hospital and I dont want everyone to know my business. My husband worked for a while and my kids were at a party, I was alone and i was fine. The pain meds helped LOL! I have been napping on and off all day. I'm sure looking forward to Monday when I can have more to eat...havent had any real food since Wed night. I'll keep you posted. Good luck!

Nervous about my first doctors appointment!
Had my first appt yesterday and was nervous too. Met surgeon, nutritionist and billing dept rep-not too bad, but alot to take in. They gave me a binder w/check lists and all the lab slips and referrals I will need. I left feeling much better, like a huge step is out of the way. Good luck, you will be fine.
