  1. When my dr says a month it is always 6 weeks to. I use dr Grooves partner I believe its part of thier fill guide lines. I can understand that yuore frustrations lay more on the being lied to by the staff but they probally have alot of patients who know if he is in the office will just show up demanding to see him. I think that may be their way of using a easier method to go by the guidelines than arguing with some patients about changing fill appointments. But I do belive they should just tell it like it is and not lie to you. As for your band it will get esier as you go and as long as your not gaining any loss is good at this point. You will get a fill that does it for you some times it takes a while. It took me nearly a year to even start losing so just hang in there.
  2. I still eat spicy foods but not as often as before and when i do I sometimes sip a little drink while I am eating. The band itsself has had no effect on my tolerence for spicy food just the fack we are not supposed to drink during a meal. If you can handle the heat go for it!
  3. We can band the stomach but we have to work really hard to restrict the mind. You did something I think almost everyone here has done. I know I have at least. Dont punish yourself or beat your self up about it that will lead to it happening again. Just accept it as it is and move on to the next moment. And if you do eat them on the treadmill and work up a good sweat I dont think you will want them again, just may make you sick.
  4. I just bought 4 new ones and what I did was measure my rib cage then bought 2 inches smaller and a strap extender. This way they will last longer and I wont have to buy more in a few months. I cant afford to buy alot of new things that wont fit for long so that was my solution for the bras
  5. I was lucky my syrgon did my surgery with the pre approval and just waited on the official letter untill he billed my insurance. But maybe you wont have to wait to long.
  6. well I have found it hard to figure out what and when I am going to fit in exersize everyday. Monday I worked 2 1/2 hours of over time and then 1 tuesday short of workers so I did the work of two others and mine so that counts for those 2 days. Since then I have done nothing but what I have to do around the house. I need to get a good regimin and stick to it everyday.
  7. Really small bites and chew to a paste wait a minute and if you feel o.k proceed again. Bread was Ok for me untill I had more of a tight fill really restricted now and cant even eat it toasted. Enjoy it while you can!
  8. I eat corn occasionally and have not had a problem with it . I have ate it without problem when other foods would not go down.I do tend to avoid it now because my band is really tight. I would enjoy it while I could!! Also if you eat protien first then have the corn your band is not going to let you eat enough to spoil your weight loss. Just remember all foods are better for you if they came from the earth and not man made. corn = chew-chew-chew-chew you will be O.K
  9. Eating one muffin is not the end of the world ,but if It had been a box of muffins different story. A treat occasionally is o.k we do have to learn to eat like normal people..
  10. I dont think "born-againers" are pushy. It sounds like to me they are just scared. Like if they dont bring religion into every conversation they are not living the right way. But I tend to fing something wierd in each denomination
  11. I have lost about 98lbs and have lots of sagging in the belly. I have a big issue with it but it bothers me more than my husband. I have bought some lingerie to hide mine. They are really visual so masking the problem areas may help!
  12. I think you may need to call your DR. you may need to move off of liquids sooner than planned. The problems you are talking about are probally brought on by the rapid weight loss.
  13. I always crave salty things so my favorites were cream of chicken soup potato soup thin mashed potatos cottage cheese cheddar brocoli soup tuna
  14. Change up your routine that usually gets me going again after hitting a platue. I usually eat the same things daily for a while so when I hit a point where the scale dont move for a while I change what I am eating.
