My Doctor said that I should not take Advil or anything with Ibuprofen.

I have the same restrictions as you do. I'm at 6 weeks this week. I will be getting mt 1st fill tomorrow. Good Luck.

WEll it's here. I'm scheduled to be in John J Mather Hospital tomorrow at 6:00 AM, I guess I'm the first one of the day. I'll check in as soon as I am able.

I'm getting the band on 3/31/10, my wife is supportive of me getting the band. I have Diabetes and I had a heart attack last year so I need to lose 100 pounds. I'm 287 now and want to get to 190. She and I are concerned about the surgery because I'm a higher risk then most people getting surgery because I had a pulmonary embolisom 5 years ago as a result of surgery. I'm going to have the surgery because I believe the reward is greater then the risk. My fingers are crossed.

I've had my CPAP for a few years and have tried different masks but I just can't get used to it. I haven't had a good nights sleep in years. My Doctor said that I have to wear it at the hospital so I'm going to start wearing it tonight so I get us to it before my surgery on 3/31/10.

I am scheduled for surgery om 3/31/10. I have been on the preop diet for 3 days, two Protein drinks and a salad with grilled chicken for lunch. My doctor said that I can have some chicken in the evening if I'm hungry. I can't wait to get this over with!

Yeh, I can't wait to get it over with. The Dr. knows about the Pulmonary Embolisim and he will be taking the necessary precautions. Good luck with your surgery.

I started the diet yesterday, two protien shakes and a salad with grilled chicken for lunch. I'm a little hungry, but I guess it will be worth it in the long run. I'm a little worried about the surgery because I had a pulmonary embolisim after a colon resection in 2005. I think the reward is greater then the risk, so I'm going for it. I just need to get the Pulmonary Function Test and I'm set.
