I am a 23 yr old female considered "morbidly obese." I have not always been overweight, however, developed a condition called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which aided in gaining 60lbs over the course of two months and a total of 140 lbs over a year. I have tried for about 5 years to lose weight on every diet from weight watchers to nutrisystem to just diet and exercise, and I have strugged 100% of the way. So, one night while browsing I decided to check if my insurance would cover the lap band surgery...a few days later I received a call saying they approved it. I didn't hesitate even one second to begin my journey. i'm currently jumping through my insurance companies' hurdles so that in May I will be able to have surgery.
