I'm becomming increasingly nervous that this will happen to me. I have to admit, I cheated a couple times on the post-op diet. About two weeks in, I ate some solid chicken in my tortilla soup and some other things like that. The few things I cheated with I chewed insanely well until they were pretty much a powdery liquid in my mouth. I haven't thrown up, I haven't had acid, I haven't had anything stuck, but I've heard a slipped band can be asymptomatic. The only thing I have is that all the sudden last night I have an awful stabbing pain when I take deep breaths. The pain is located on my left side under my ribs. It feels like gas pain to me. How common is a slipped band and what is the likelihood I would get it? I know I was wrong for cheating on the diet, but I guess my head wasn't quite in the place I thought it was.
