  1. Nope not on any blood pressure meds! Always had low blood pressure, or good blood pressure. This makes me nervous at times and then i will feel great the next day! I was wondering if i was not eating enuff. i eat the protein first and usually that all i manage to eat.
  2. I was banded on 2/9/10. Lately i am really really tired, and i get bouts of dizzy spells. I dont know if this is from lack of nutrients? or if it cause i dont get enough to drink?? am i alone?? any input would be great. I got my first fill today. 4.5cc in my 14cc band. that went uneventful, although im on clear liquids today and starving lol!!!
  3. I also hate skim milk but i found this skim milk with added protein that taste like 2%. it is faboulous!!!!!! Maybe that will make it easier for you. i know it has helped me!!!
  4. I am on two weeks of sugar free clear liquids!! with the exception that tomorrow i get to add 9oz a day of carnation instant breakfast sugar free of course!! when i go for my post op i get put on pureed. I really cant wait, some oat bran, cream of wheat, anything!!!!!! But hang in there it will be over and we will be thinner and healthier because of it!!!!
  5. I was in surgery for 3 hours, have 7 incisions, and was in recovery for 1.5 hours. i did a bit of dry heaving after i got to my room, so bad i thought my port was gonna rip thru my skin for schnizzle.. i had numerous past surgeries that had left a lot of adhesions and scar tissue for my doc to get thru so he decided to clean it all up for me! Probably a bit more painful now for me but in the long run it for the best!! my doc immediately explained my length in the or, and i didnt even realize the time till it was 5 hours out - so prob just the anesthesia keeping me loopy lol!
  6. so glad to hear i am not alone!!! im just 4 days out, but it feels like the port is pushing thru my skin sometimes. the incisions (i have 7 due to large adhesions from previous surgeries) dont hurt, and i have not taken any pain meds since my first day home. but if i walk alot, or when i am sleeping, it feels like a huge mass just pushing out and it really can be a bit painful. hoping this passes in time. im sure it is cause it is new, and sewn right into a muscle (i didnt know i had any lol).
  7. yeah im 3 days out now and it is definetly getting better. i have not used any pain meds since the first night home, which i really needed after the long bumpy ride home! havent been out of the house at all. so i been walking back and forth kitchen to living room as much as possible and o yeah it helps get that gas out! doing good on the sugar free clear liquid diet for the most part, just wish i could have some cream soup. but taking it day by day!!!
  8. I was banded 2/9/2010 feel like i got run over by a mack truck. My ribs are KILLING me, my port feels like it coming thru the skin. I took the liquid loratab, but then i slept for like 15 hours. i didnt like that much woke up so queasy and thirsty. so now i just taking it easy sipping my broth and tea and using the heating pad. i know the pain will pass, my doc said it from the liver retractor, and i had a lot of adhesions from past surgeries that he removed. just taking it one day at a time. Looking forward to valentines day, i get to move up to Carnantion instant breakfast!!!!!!
