My name is Beckie, I am the mother of 6, and grandmother of 5 (#6 will be here any day). I am married to the love of my life James. He is very supportive of my decision although scared at the same time.I have tried to lose weight for over 20 years.  Sometimes i succeeded, only to gain it all back with a few extra tagged on!  I was going for gastric bypass about five years ago, but my surgeon at that time had some "issues" and then just two weeks from my surgery she stopped doing the surgery! (state took away her license).  I am very happy that I was approved for the lap band, I have found a wonderful surgeon who is very informative, and i feel way more comfortable with him. I am looking forward to having people to to talk to, to give me advice, and to share our struggles with.
