I have been heavy all my life but have been obese for about 10 yrs.  I gradually gained weight after I got married in 1993.  I tried about every diet you can think of and couldn't stick to them or would quit and gain the weight right back within a few weeks.  I finally set a goal for myself, to be at a healthy BMI by my 40th birthday.  That day came and when in September of 2009.  I had seen a local surgeon for a lap-band consult about 2 yrs ago, but there were too many hoops to jump through before I would even know if I was approved or not.  Then in October a friend called me and told me about Day One Health.  I called the next day and had a appt within a week.  The staff has been wonderful and my Dr. is very friendly and informative.  I have been approved and my surgery is scheduled for January 7, 2010.  I am now doing the liquid diet and am very excited about the surgery and the beginning of my new life.
