The irony of being approved for RNY but unable to get your band removed is killing me.....I'd be developing severe abdominal pain NOT THAT I'D EVER SUGGEST YOU LIE!!!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 217.2- What ya eating tonight?
Grilled cheeseburger 3 oz, couple bites of dill pickle and 3 bites of pork and beans....stuffed but best burger ever!!!! (Okay so I just mowed the yard and was starving.....) HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 217.2- Lapband removal denied
Are you having and negative issues with the band? Heartburn, pain, anything????? Mine was approved because I had a slip. I come up with every issue you can think of and talk it over with your surgeon. (Also, if he's doing removal at the same time as RNY you could pay cash for that portion....not a clue how much it would be though ) Good luck!!!!!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 217.2- Band to RNY..first steps
Okay, soap box moment....you just had major surgery, you're probably not doing intense exercise yet, your body is trying to figure out what you've done to it but you're losing 1/2 a pound a day.....that's fantastic!! Take a step back and look at the big picture. If you continue to lose at this rate you'll lose 180 pounds a year.....give yourself some credit and breathe, don't drive yourself crazy expecting crazy results.- Stick stuck?!?
My doc said way too much scarring and inflammation from my slip and the portion of the stomach where he makes the pouch was extremely irritated, to safely make a healthy pouch he would have had to make a much larger pouch. No, no, I don't need a larger pouch!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 217.2- Singles
Lol, maybe, I'm kinda scary naked these days though!!!! May have to blind fold any potential partners first!!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 217.2- Singles

A lot of people on here love it, I'm kinda blah about it....it was okay, but not the real thing. Mixed mine in yogurt and with shakes. HW 312, pre-op (lap-band) 294, pre-op (RNY) 255, surgery date 2/11/13, goal weight 154, current weight 217.2- How about some NSVs!?!?
Lol took me a bit to figure it out too but I realized I sit much lower now cuz the booty has shrunk it's the little things that make me happy- Food Diaries/Logs
My fitness pal, started a few weeks pre-op this January....I find I'm fairly honest about my caloric intake but tend to WAY underestimate my protein intake...also having down somewhere whether I exercise or not tends to keep it in my mind and make it harder to ignore. Therefore I exercise more regularly.....will probably back off when I hit goal unless I find myself gaining....then likely will go back.- How about some NSVs!?!?
Having to slide the drivers seat up to drive cuz my butt is shrinking and I could barely reach the pedals! Hadn't thought of this one pre-op.- Update on me & my life
I'm sorry...I hate when docs don't encourage you! Mine said to expect 2-4 pounds a week so you're doing great by that standard, If it helps at al :/. Keep on keeping on and you'll get there!!!- Update on me & my life

It's still a long shot, they have to agree to do the treatment to decrease her antibody levels then pray we are a match.....but at least I'm back in the running!- esophageal dysmotility
Agreed. The risk of living my life at 300 pounds and leaving my son motherless....I chose not to fret about risks associated with RNY, I educated myself well and put faith in my surgeon. All went well, it's been a piece of cake- Fabulous February Post-Op's
Today I hit a milestone. As some of you know, my mom is on a kidney transplant list, has been for over 2 years. She is an extremely tough match and no one in the family matches, but I am, by far, the closest. She's goes in to see the transplant team in a couple of weeks to start discussions on a treatment that is supposed to get her antibody levels down and make her easier to match. If they're able to do the treatments, I'm #1 up to look at as a donor, but my BMI has to be <35. Today I am officially 35.0. Fingers crossed!!!! HW 312, pre-op (lap-band) 294, pre-op (RNY) 255, surgery date 2/11/13, goal weight 154, current weight 217.2- Ok got it
