  1. My doc told me that as long as I was not on pain meds I was more than welcome to drive. But had to have someone drive me otherwise.
  2. I use wheybolic isolate extreme 60 from gnc you can mix it with water or milk, it is very thin so you can use it as a clear. The taste improves with milk. The choclate is awesome.. That is the only one I drink..
  3. I chose the sleeve because there is no pouch..It doesn't reroute anything just make your stomach smaller. You have to remember that either or surgery is just a tool. It will depend on how bad you want to loose weight and control your eating habits.. If you have the sleeve , and you follow doctors recommendations on the diet any thing in life is possible. there are no limits on how much you can lose . You will eat about 2 to 3 ounces of food and be really satisfied. I guess the most important part is make sure you do your homework on each of the surgeries. Personally I have studied all of them and the only logical choice I came up with was the sleeve.. I personally love the sleeve and I would do it 100 times over. It has been some work for me such as exersice and staying focused , but I am truely satsified with all that I have accomplished in the short period of time that I have been sleeved. Also they say the sleeve is getting close to the same results as the bypass, and the risks to gain weight are about the same..You just have to change your eating habits and you life forever.. I wish you all the luck in the world and please keep us posted on what you choose..
  4. I use celebrate vitamin in the grape flavor they have a really good taste to me and they are pretty cheap considering..Lots of people use flintstone. YOu have to eat 4 of them, but they are prettty good as far as I remember..
  5. You have to own it girl. If you are doing this for your health than you have to cheer out and say I'm doing this to help my quality of life. Own It!!! You just have to close your eyes and step into the unkown, and let me tell you when you do that it will completely change your life for ever. I do have one regret, and that is not having it done sooner..I love my sleeve!!!! I would do it 100 times over.. YOu will have a rocky start but once you get past all of that you will shine like a star. So When you have surgery sip as much Water as possible and walk walk walk.. The more you walk and drink the quicker you will heal..
  6. Just a question have you had your Vitamin D checked? I know my outllook and feeling of being blue are more strong when my vitamin D is low. Just a thought..
  7. I had sugery on Feburary 1st. I am already to solid foods..You could say I finally made it.. Had some issues transitioning from liquids to solids, but it was do to eating too fast.. Time will fly and you will be on solids before you know it. Keep your head up..
  8. There are complications with any surgery you have and this one carries risk but they are a very low percentage.. You have to do this for you and your medical condition..When you look in the mirror and say hey I did this for me than all other thought you have about your decesion is erased. Will there be days where you are blue of course, but when you feel that way you have to tell yourself you did this for yourself. I feel sad sometimes but I made the deceision to have this and I am very glad I did. I actually am sad that I couldn't have had the surgery sooner..what I know now and what I have been through I would do it 100 times over. It is work because this is really a tool and nothing more. It will help you make better choices about what you choose to eat.. You do have kinda weird dreams for about 2 to 3 weeks afterwards but it didn't cause me not to get sleep.. I don't think I have ever lost a night sleep over this. The most important part of all of this is to make 100 % certain you are doing this for YOU.
  9. It was soo awesome I too went to my closet and all my shirts were so loose I use them now as night shirts.. NSV are soo awesome.. I have went to 2x instead of 4 and 5 X shirts.
  10. I know the feeling...lol I was on clears for 4 weeks and I was soo glad to get yogurt and pudding...you have to remember it is just temporary and they do that so you can heal and get prepared . so did you already have surgery?? Any there is nothing your forgetting it just really sucks!!
  11. You can't eat regular Jello. You have to eat sugar free jello. They are considered a clear liquid by my bariatric team..It helps soo much when you are doing preop. It helps with hunger..
  12. Samantha it is the mechanics of the sleeve.. if you eat more than your stomach can hold it will come up really fast. YOur stomach gets full before your head tell you to stop. So the slower you eat the better outcome you will have..
  13. almost 2 months out no puking here The first thing you learn about you tum tum is how much food it would hold and the feeling you get before getting full.. I start hic-ups right before I get sick. So I know when this happens I put the brakes on the food..You will learn really quickly signs to tell ya you need to stop because your stomach is full before you brain says hey your full!!! It is really challenging..
  14. First of all you start excersing in baby steps.. Walk to the mailbox. the walk to the stop sign at the end of the road. go a little further you kinda get the point..lol I would try wheybolic isolate extreme 60 from GNC it has the best taste..I wouldget the choclate it is soo awesome . But as far as dressing them up you can use some sf Syrup choch or caramel.. Also there are unflavored Protein you can put in Soup or yougurt etc... As far as puree foods: When you are on solid liquids for as long as I was a puree vegtable soup is awesome.. To me it taste like soup I enjoyed it sooo much. Good luck and please keep us posted..
  15. I would rather have a smaller stomach and take ppi's . I don't know what size bungie they used on me but i haven't had acid reflux at all. I have been taking protonics since about 2 months before surgery...so going to continue until doc takes me off..
  16. yall will do fine!!! You will be fine on all liquids it is a challenge but well worth it in the end..I will tell you do not cheat it only hurts in the end. you have to get your caloric intake down so you will be good with just liquids after surgery.
  17. The reason you crave milk because it has a lot of carbs in it. ONe 8 ounce glass of milk has a lot of protein in it but it also has 13 grams of carbs..I kept my protein from 60-75 grams a day and my carbs under 40. I know milk is very good for you but the nutrientional value can be deceiving..
  18. It will work and you will be astonished at how much weight you will lose if you stick with the diet plan your doctor has set up with you.. Keep hydrated and get you proteins in and watch how much weight falls...
  19. I will wait until the 28th to be on solid foods.. So monday will be my first day on complete normal food..I know it sucks but its going to get better...Keep your head up and you will do fine..
  20. yep a lot of people tend to add a couple of pounds of liquids after surgery.. Don't freak out they will come off quickly..
  21. yes this is true follow your postop diet..YOu have to make sure that you are hydrated by drinking 64 ounces. Then you have to get your protein in..You will get a little stronger each day and your out look will be better. Good luck and keep us posted..
  22. Yall will do fine.. If it was soo easy to do what everyone here has done than everyone would be lining up for a part of it.. It is extremely hard and takes a lot of self control. You just have to want it more than you are suffering right now.. Once you get past the carb withdrawls you will be at a better place to help you get through it the rest of the way..good luck ladies and keep you heads up...
  23. It seems that the taste of a lot of things change after surgery. I don't know if it when they put you to sleep or what . I loved yogurt to death. After surgery I can hardly stand any milk products they just taste different to me.. Have you ever tried the wheybolic ampflified extreme 60 from gnc?? It is the best protein that I have ever drinked. I use the choclate and I have never had any issues before or after surgery. Also there are soy proteins and a couple others that arent milk based. good luck and hopefully you will find a protein you can drink..
  24. keep your head up girl..The carb thing is one of the hardest things to break!! I do feel soo bad for you though.. to be that close and yet soo far away...it really sucks . You can do it thought!!! You will get a new date and stay focused on the goal you will make it I promise you..:welldoneclap:
  25. You know if you have plastic surgery in December.. you know you will lose more weight right? I think you have done soo great and lost soo much weight. Your picture are soo awesome..I wish you good luck and please stop worrying about your goal you look fantastic..You will be really suprised after december when you have your surgery...
