well starting 2day im on the 5day pre-op liquid diet so i dnt know what 2 buy. then after surgery i will b on Clear Liquids until idk??? i will have 2 ask my doctor when i cn b on mushy food. what do i buy now? what did u buy since ur on day 9 of ur diet?

my surgery is scheduled for tuesday november 24th.. and Im sooo confused because when I went to the doctor yesterday to get my instructions thats where all the confusion comes in at. the papers sd that I will be on liquids from the 19 till 6weeks and she sd no shaked but in the bookltet they gave me it sd that after 2weeks of clear liquids I can have protein shakes with the mushy foods. I just dont know what to do or what to buy tomorrow. Im really stressing!!!!!!!:thumbup:

:confused:As of thursday the 19th I will be starting my pre-op clear diet and boy am I nervous... Yes I do want to be successful and I dont want to cheat. Is it really possible to go from eating any and everything u want to pure clear liquids with no sugar(Im starting to panic). Im going to have to do a lot of praying because Im so use to cooking for my family and being a big late night snacker. please help me with any suggestion.... Im trying to be positive and not think the worse to be honest I dont know what to think or what to expect because I know that everyone is different and what might work for u may not work 4 me. My doctor office told me not to do protein shakes and Im looking like huh??? :redface::smile2:

Im trying 2 keep busy so time will go by faster but these days r getting longer n colder. I will find out the time of my surgery 2day

wow ur an inspiration 2 me I will b banded on the 24th n my emotions r all over the place excited n nervous at the same time. what were ur favorite protein shakes? how often did u exercise n what exercises gave u the best results? how long did u wait 2 exercise?

8 days n I will b banded. Im so excited n I just cnt hide it. Ready 2go right now!!!

Im n chicago n I have medicaid n they approved me n 2weeks. my surgery is nov 24th

well ur almost there. I had 2 wait the longest on my pyscologist report 2 b turned n because she went on vacation then was having issues with her computer. so that was like a 2month hold up then my papers were submitted 2 the insurance. I didnt know how long it was going 2 take considering the holidays that r coming up. I sd I wouldnt mind having it n december then I thought about both of my children bdays r n december n started stressing. then I sd the latest that i would wnt 2 have the surgery is the around the new yr.my papers were submitted on october 28th n I gt my approval on november 12th n my surgery date is november 24th. dnt worry about telling ur coworkers anything its ur business. people r going 2 talk n assume things whether they know the truth or nt. best wishes

why u dnt have 2 do liquids? wow n u have 2 stay overnight. I guess every doc is different. when is ur surgery mine is the 24th 2 days b4 turkey day

Hello this is my last weekend being regular so Im going to treat myself to a juicy steak and have a lot of cocktails, because on tuesday I start my liquids so Im getting it out of my system now. I still cant believe that I will be banded on the 24th of this month 2 days before thansgiving!!!!!!!!! I hope that I have the will power to acheive and to stick with this. In the end I will be pleased with the results so I will reward myself with a shopping spree:biggrin::cool2::w00t::laugh::thumbup::thumbup:

Can u share with me which liquids n protein shakes worked best 4 u? Im so excited n I dnt want 2 mess up. I will be a newbie on the 24th so I really dnt know what is good n what works

hey just to let u know that my papers were submitted on the 28th of October and I got my approval today.... yeah!!!!! my surgery is scheduled for November 24th 2009. so just keep praying and u should here something really soon:biggrin:

Hello I am so excited to let u all know that I got my date set. yeah baby Its official and Im sooooooooo excited. medicaid has approved my lap band surgey and I will be having it November 24th 2009. OMG 2 days before Thanksgiving right I have a lot to be thankful for. A second chance to get it right I do look foward to sharing my progress with all of u. So on the 17th I will go 2 the doctor and get all my instructions on what I have to do so I guess I will only have 1 week of liquids before the surgery.....:drool::thumbup::thumbup::laugh::smile::w00t::tt2:

how long did it take 2 get urs approved? I have both as well but I think they submitted my paper work 2 medicaid n im so nervous because I dnt know what 2 expect. is there someone i can call as far as medicaid
