  1. Sorry for your loss. Try and keep your chin up and be healthier for YOU and your family. I havent heard from my insurance company yet. I really hope it wont be taking 11 months. I will be devastated if I dont get approved. Cant afford it out of pocket. What did you do the second time around to get approved that you didnt do the first time?
  2. Good to hear the fills are not too bad. Still think I might need some type of anxiety pill for that day. LOL. When I get needles I shake, cry, sweat, or almost vomit. I think I am most worried about the fills. The three things I fear the most are needles, height and spiders. If I dont get the fills will I feel any restrictions? I read some people do and some people dont. Do they not fill the band the day of the surgery? Just wondering, when you do feel full do you get stomach noises like you are still hungry. They told me in class the fullness is in a differant area. Was told our stomachs would be making lots of noises like we were hungry but we might not be. Have you experienced this? Sorry about the questions, but during my classes most of the group were going to have the gastric bypass so they did not go into detail about the lapband.
  3. Are the fills painful? How long do they take? Im not a needle person. Cant imagine how I am going to be able to get the fills without extreme anxiety attacks!

I am a newbie to blogging. I have gotten as far as an upcoming appointment for the consult with the surgeon. I have done the required classes and have gotten the approval letters from the behaviorial specialist and the nutritionist. For some reason I thought we were told in class that we would meet with surgeon, which is my next appointment and then the surgery date is set and then you find out if you are approved by the insurance. Are you saying that when I go for the consult they are going to call me with a surgery date, and that I am probably not going to get a surgery date that day? They really do drag this on dont they!
