  3. You are doing so well - But take it easy and let your body concentrate on the healing (instead of shopping which is also a great thing lol) take care of you
  4. Great blogumentary! I should be having my tummy tuck in august......... eeps
  5. Had a reply from the people - She said ''We go by your measurements as you are now. Therefore we would usually recommend you go for a small garment to ensure you get enough compression. '' So they go by the measurements you are now..... Wow - Me - possibly a small - Ooh freaky *giggles* But I have been told to try the medium first if I need one of these as they come up really small...
  6. When my friend had breast implants - she was told to get a size smaller bra so that it holds firmer (This made sense to me as after having my babies I always wore 2 bras so it held firmer and took that concrete boob feeling away a bit) So I guess if the under bust for me is a bit looser than I would like - I can always add another bra on top maybe... I like the sizing on your site more - it says (for me) I would need a medium for the arm bit - I am just worried if I get the medium and the under bust bit is too loose that i would not get the benefit Thus far I keep getting conflicting information as to whether I need to get one or if the hospital provide me with one LOL - So I am sizing as if i need one till I find out for sure. (The black ones on the site I use would make a nice top also after lol) I might just see who says what so when the person says if I do or dont need it 100% then i will just try on the larger one as they are meant to be 'snug but not uncomfortable' I'll (If i do need it) try on the medium first and if that is too loose then exchange it for the small... Time will tell......... (Well somebody better decide and tell me or I wont have one and so far two people said i do need one and two people said i dont) Can you ask them how tight the sleeves are and what you do if you are between two sizes - Do you go smaler or larger. (My people arent answering as yet) My surgery is also on April 22nd!
  7. I think you giving us the raw truth is very kind of you - And I for one appreciate it so much so that when I have it done - I kinda know what to expect. Thankyou
  8. Fantastic Mimi - You are doing so well.......
  9. The plastic surgeon has told me to get one of these for the surgery... I am having a Breast Reduction and Brachioplasty... Hafta order this from www.esshop.co.uk The catalogue number is B943. Hopes pic shows... Ooh - Looks lovely - LOL Have had to contact the web-site about the sizing. As I have no idea which one to get (lol) http://www.esshop.co.uk/downloads/size_chart.pdf It says to go via Under Bust size and arm size... But I am in two sizes then (Small and Medium) No Idea which one to get... Under Bust I am 29.5 inches On Bust at the moment I am 36.5 inches (Will be smaller tho after but no idea how much as having reduction) On Biceps I am 11.25 (Will also be smaller after but no idea what size) I also emailed the Plastic Surgeon to ask Him which size to get - I don't want one too small (As would be ouchy on arms) And yet if I get one too loose under Bust I would have no support (?) Can anyone help me know which size to get? Thank You.

  14. I hope you are doing well. Cant wait to see your before and after pics
  15. Some people have more elastic skin than others - But - There is very little chance that if you have ben very overweight for a very long time that the skin will have retained it's elasticity. So... If you lose alot of weight your skin will shrink a tiny bit - But probably not enough to be noticeable. If you are in your teens or early twenties you have a better chance - But it all depends on how much the skin was stretched... I have lost 8st 5lbs in all from my heaviest weight (A stone is 14lbs) and there is no way on earth my skin will shrink enough to make me look anything but a saggy bag of potatoes...... So - In this respect the only way I will ever get a semi normal body is Plastic Surgery...
  16. Wow 2 out of 10 - Fantastic! Well done and take it easy and take care of yourself
  17. Could you possibly take a digicam and take a picture of a picture? It's so wrong they won't allow you to have them (why they are unable to even email you a pic I dont know - ridiculous) Talking about having your arms done is a positive thing  Huggers (is there a quick way to do these smileys without editing)
  18. Everything is crossed for you!
  19. Wow! Good luck with your surgery - Can't wait to see your pics and hear how it all goes when you return. *Sending great vibes your way*
  20. I would love to be able to see your pics Mimilou as I am having this procedure in 6 weeks...... Please....
  21. A straight jacket sounds like the perfect attire for me! I will hopefully find out whether I need to get a sports bra or have a nice straight jacket (better be a black one lol) in the next few days
  22. My friend had a breast enlargement and she was told to have a sports bra that when she woke up she was wearing...... She was told the size to get (one size smaller than she is) I have just yesterday asked my PS's secretary this question - So I will be able to tell you what she says when she emails me back but I am pretty sure you hafta have a sports bra. And I am sure you are not allowed to have underwired bras. Ooh reading the above comment I wonder If I willhafta wear a compression vest an what that looks like
  23. NO it is not shallow - You are allowed to revel in what YOU have achieved! You worked your ass off to get where you are - You get up every day and you are walking a road to stay where you are and I believe - That you deserve this. How many years did you go through unhappy and hating yourself? Too many methinks Now - You are in a place where you can look at yourself in the miror and say 'Yeah - I did it - I got there!' And you look FANTABULOUS (Yeah I am jealous LOL)
  24. I am in awe of your pics and pray my op will come out as good as yours!
  25. I would say you hafta weigh up the pros and cons. I have had two hernia surgeries. (Both in the middle of weight loss) You have to understand that the hernia could get srangulated - If this happens - You will be rushed into hospital - as I was - And have your hernia fixed as an emergency. A strangulated hernia can kill. The second time I (apparently) Just had fat poking through the hole but I didnt find that out till afterwards, but I went in as I was worried it might strangulate again and was scared of that.... I would have to ask the Doctor what is protruding - and use that information to make my decision on. If it is your innards, get it fixed, if it is just fat - Then you can wait. But having been through two hernia surgeries - If it were me - I would get it fixed as when it gets stuck - It is a very painful thing, whilst I was in pain - I was throwing up white stuff (apparently it had no smell at all - Just white) Good luck
