  1. You sound just like me a couple years ago. I was at your height and weight and was plain discusted with myself. I hated wearing size 20and pretty much wore really tight 18's and did without clothes cause I just couldn't accept that I was that fat. I had lapband in June 2006 and was at goal in September 07, just over a year. I am SOOOOOO happy - size 8 and some size 6. My motto was "I just want to be normal", I wanted to eat like a normal person, look like a normal person, etc. Not skinny, just normal. I am happy to report I am there and you will be too. Good luck to you and enjoy!
  2. OK, you tell me. I had surgery done -someone at my work had it done too. She is forever on a race with me, comparing how much I have lost to hers. I don't want to race and she actually gave me some of her clothes "that are too big". Now, trying not to be a bitch, but, um, if they are too big for you why the F*()*( do you think they are going to fit me? We have both lost about the same, not much, about 30 pounds. I think of myself as realistic; 30 pounds is great - clothes fit better, maybe a size difference. Her thought, as she throws it around to everyone constantly, is she is down 8 sizes! Oh Please. Am I being too sensitive and should chill or is this truly annoying?
  3. Hi Dawn - I have Dr. Campbell too - yes she likes the exercise. I don't know where you work or if you can get an hour lunch, but I am doing the exercise during lunch. I usually only have an 1/2 hour, but I come in 1/2 early and one hour is plenty as the gym is 1000 feet down the road where I work. Is this a possibility. I have kids, etc and can't go after work - I do walk with them though so they too get exercise (mine's 13 y.o.).
