9/28/09 - Initial consultation with WLS, discussed options and that my preference is for Lapband vs. Bypass.  Surgeon thinks that I will be a good candidate for the lapband.  I was able to make an appointment with a dietician that afternoon so two down, psych consult to go9/30/09 - Psych consult today, very informative and supportive and cleared for surgery.  They offer LP support groups so I am definitely planning to attend some of those pre- and post-surgery.10/06/09 - Hospital Pre-surgical testing:  Ultrasound, EKG, Upper GI, BloodworkRESULTS:  I am falling apart.  LOL.I tested positive for H-Pylori, the bacteria that causes ulcers, 10 day treatment of antibiotics.Ultrasound showed I have a hiatal hernia, hopefully can be corrected during LP surgery, and I have to get GI clearance.  Also showed that I have gallstones, so my gallbladder has to be removed before LP surgery.EKG showed some abnormalities, so have to have stress test to get Cardia clearance.10/27/09 - Stress test, passed and got Cardiac Clearance!10/28/09 - Gastro appointment, cleared for LP surgery, but ultrasound showed an abnormality in my duodenum, so having an EGD (scope to take a biopsy) on Nov 13.11/04/09 - Gallbladder surgery, went very well, and glad it was done, it was inflammed.
