  1. And before everyone jumps all over me- yes I know some people do great doing it all in one surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. There's a good reason your surgeon recommends to do it in 2 steps... I don't understand why anyone would argue it. Your stomach is going to be swollen therefore your sleeve won't be the same as a "Virgin" sleever. After 3 months your swelling goes down. I have 2 friends who pushed for it to be done all in one surgery and they have barely lost anything- they wish they had let their stomach heal from the band removal. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. What surgeon did you use? I am having a hard time researching surgeons on this one.... would appreciate any feedback!!

  7. Fiddlemen: You may if you felt little difference and are gaining.
  8. Ckunes: go see another surgeon for a second opinion- never hurts I was told my whole lapband "life" it was me not the lapband, it's a tool it's how you use it! Now everyone says the lapband is BS. I believe bougie size does matter. And 56 is pretty big! Last resort I would join weight watchers or revise to another surgery if I were you.
  9. You look great!! Who was your surgeon? What is super tiny? Thanks

  16. Some regular posters on these sleeve forums LOVE drama. I feel bad for Blindsided...
  17. Mine is $27k... 8k would be a dream.
  18. Band to Sleeve Revision- One or Two Procedures? I was curious what your surgeon choose for you and how your weight loss has been so far??
  19. Your hair will grow back... I have seen 100's of patients who lost hair and it grew back. Extensions will further damage your hair unless you invest in expensive ones, which are a MOTHA to maintain. Give your body a change to adjust
  20. Also- social situations (eating out, traveling, etc) How do I turn down food at dinner parties. We came to someone's house for dinner, how do I explain I can't eat what they worked so hard to make... Or can't even finish 1/2 of it.
  21. Not enough books discuss "failing". I would love to read about revisions and starting over, the reality of it.
  22. What size are you? This can help others respond that are a similar size. You may want to contact the airline. I am a pretty outgoing person and would say "I'm a complete wreck about flying, its my first time! I am headed to *blank* and nervous about the seating, can you provide me a little bit more information? Such as size restrictions?" Plus- airlines offer seltbelt extenders. And LAST resort if you're THAT worried, buy a seat in first class and live in luxury! I pop a Xanax and have a glass of wine to calm my flying nerves.
  23. Research the term "refund gap"... Those are the worse augmentation jobs.
