  9. Thank you everyone!!! Kranky813 my dr also told me he is more concerned about me getting fluids and not dehydrating vs the Protein.. I just can't wait to be able to eat a meal with my family again oh and get rid of this feeling in my darn throat! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I had my sleeve done 04/7/16 and I am 1 wk post op today. I was never a thirsty person pre op so I am having a real hard time with the Protein and Fluid intake.. I feel like I am drowning protein is the hardest for me. I have tried it many different ways and can't seem to stomach it because it's just disgusting. Any suggestions?!? Also since surgery I have had this weird feeling in my throat like it's swollen.. I can drink fine but it's sore and annoying!! Anyone struggle with that? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  12. I am 7 days post op and I am questioning myself too.. I don't know how much longer I can take this.. The Protein is disgusting no matter how I try to mix it and I'm having trouble getting it in just because I don't like it. I can drink Water, broth and eat Jello fine it's the nasty protein.. I ask myself everyday so far why I did this any suggestions how else to get my protein in?!? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. That isn't everyone's instructions. I was explicitly allowed Premier Protein during my clear phase. Getting in my protein and fluids were both my surgeon's priorities. To the OP, just keep sipping and working at it. It will get easier. Are you taking a PPI? What is PPI? My dr told me to focus on getting any kind of Fluid in for the first few days to avoid dehydration.. The protein I just can't stomach because it is disgusting. Just can't wait to be on baby like food lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. I guess it could be gas pains didn't think of that Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. From what I was told by my dr and nutritionist as of 04/9 I should be on stage 2 Protein shakes for 7 days which is low sugar protein shakes and other sugar free drinks, Jello, pops and broth Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. My surgery was April 7th, I just came home yesterday and I am having a problem getting as much Protein or liquids that they recommend. I have awful pains that feel like my stomach is trying to growl and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem? I had lapband in 2010 and had it removed in February 2016. I remember having a hard time with protein just because I don't like it but can't remember if it felt the same.
  17. Thanks... I really thought i needed to be unfilled ! I thought that when you stop losing weight its a sign that your too full.. i will call my dr today and try and get in... thanks again for your response means alot
  18. I was banded on 07/01 and everything has been going great until recently. I am down 55 which is great but the last couple weeks I haven't been getting that full feeling, I stopped losing weight and things are getting stuck.. somedays I am able to eat more than I should but the next day the if I eat the same thing it will get stuck, I thought maybe I wasn't paying attention and not chewing but its been with everything even soup ! I feel like my dr doesn't listen to me he just comes in fills and leaves I am so frustrated and just need some options... thanks
