  1. Pink, who did your surgery? I've been with Dr Tanaka for about a year now (I have a band in at the moment) so if I take the band out and bypass he will do my surgery. Hi Nikki, yes tonight at 7! How have you been this week?
  2. Tonight actually, at the main office. I wish the schedule was easier, evenings are awkward for me, Id rather have a 10am class!
  3. Great job! Yes, Im on my phone Im in options now some days i want a bypass and other days i dont...im worried about long term issues with re routing my intestines.

  9. How are you feeling now after your sleeve surlygal? What made you choose sleeve over bypass?
  10. Im at Kaiser San Diego and its a 6 month options group. Id rather go have my surgery tomorrow but my angels are speaking so I'll be patient and listen
  11. Thats why I am so excited about bypass, I'm addicted to sweets so I am hoping to have bad dumping.

  16. Oh and by the way i have no idea why my post posted so many times!!
  17. Whos your insurance company? They should have rules posted that you can read up about. I dont have any comobiditiy except for a bad knee, I totally lied and said i have acid refux because i wanted the bypass not the sleve....you gotta know the system better than the doctors do to get what you want.
  18. What are the questions in your packet? I was approved for my band and now again for my bypass so I have been approved twice now, I'll help if I can. What are the questions in your packet? 19. Well, it's back to the same ol game. Get a tiny fill if you can, eat protein, veggies and fruit count calories and work out. When I had my baby I did STROLLER STRIDES best workout with a baby ever! All the Mommies are in the same boat, trying to get the baby weight off...you should google it and see if there is one in your area.
  20. I think the bypass is better than the sleeve, I have even heard of sleeves being bypassed, so you are right the gold standard is the best. My husband is slowly coming around, he saw my mother recently and she has gained a lot of weight and is 86. She has 0 muscle mass and has a super hard time doing everything, even stepping off a curb I told him I did not want to be that fat old lady who can barley walk, I want to be thin and fit when Im old (Im 50 now) it will be a lot easier to be an old thin person rather than an old fat person. Not to mention my knee has been killing me. Guess it didnt help when I fell over on my bike ride this morning But at least Im getting a work out in!
  21. Hello! So....how are you doing? Do you have a date yet? I just got my approval today. 2 surgeries, band out, heal at least 2 months then bypass.
  22. You just have to go and try on everything! I have many different brands, just get whats most comfortable for you!
  23. Ok! I saw Dr. Tanaka this morning and have been approved for my band removal and bypass. I do have to do the 6 month program but Im fine with it, by the time I get a surgery date to get the band out, wait 2 months to heal and then schedule the bypass it will be around 6 months give or take anyway.......so here I go! Still hoping to find another Kaiser patient to bond with here though!
  24. Kay, what has happened since you posted last? Im also going band to bypass here in San Diego Ca. Kaiser.
