  1. At my follow-up, I asked if ibuprophen was off limits. (I have a bad knee injury that ibuprophen helps for pain). My doctor said ibuprophen was ok, so long as it is ground up first. I use Goody's (aspirin & acetominophin) which comes in those little powder packets. BC is another brand but read the ingredients. BC contains caffiene. Goody's does not.
  2. Dr. Bryce in Rowlett did mine and he is a fellow bandster so he knows exactly what is going on with us. Loved him and his staff!
  3. The band was designed to work with food, not with vomiting. Make sure that the wonderful weight loss you are achieving is because you are eating correctly, not because you are vomiting it all away. Good luck.
  4. I don't know for sure but I believe that unless the employer is self-insured, they should not know -- privacy laws and all.
  5. I've eaten a bite of a hot dog without the bread and had to chew and chew. I did have a chili dog at home. Bread has not bothered me yet. But, I did put the bun in the food processor to break it up, layered it with a food processored hot dog and then topped with turkey chili. YUM!! No problems eating a whole hot dog that way. Despite everyone's advice, ask your doctor or try eating some at home before going out. The skin on the hot dog can be tough to make sure you chew thoroughly.
  6. Same here...my insurance didn't require co-morbidities aver 40BMI. Good luck. Oh, and the two you listed were not qualifications for under 40BMI on my insurance. If you are 42, you should be safe.
