  1. I had the same problem with my weight loss. I was banded in 2008 and stop losing and started eating like before the band. I went in for a fill and it was to tight and could not eat anything. So I went in and had some taken out. I went back in about 6 months later (both of these were last year) for a fill but my doctor said no, so now i can't feel the bad and can eat almost anything (except meat) and as much as i want. I plan on calling my docotor in the morning and see if i can get in for a fill. Hopefully this will help. Good luck and keep us informed jone
  2. I had my lap band done kaiser in Richmond, CA last year. I don't regret it at all and i would do it over again in a heartbeat. I agree that some days are harder than others. Some days i can eat anything the next day I have trouble with everything. Not sure why, I have been losing slow but steady--which is ok with me. I have had 3 fills and the last one has given me the most trouble--but it is getting better. it is nice to hear other story's about how things are going. I learn something new every time I log into this site thanks for all the help everyone has given me jone
  3. Stacy- the best of luck to you. I am also new here. I was banded a little over a year ago and am very happy with the choice of the band. I have lost around 50 pounds in the last year. I have also made mistakes and have eaten the wrong things. But I get right back to eating right. I think it a good thing to want to set a good example for you daughter--but do the surgery for yourself and not for anyone else. things just get better as time goes on after surgery.
