I am 38 yrs old and a single mother of a 15 year old.  Anyone on this forum knows why I am here.  Frustrated with diets and concerned about my health.  I went to my first office visit today and I was very worried because I thought they were going to tell me that my insurance could not cover this procedure.  I was wrong.  It does!  And it pays most of the cost.  So today is my first day of my 3 month medically supervised diet that is required by my insurance.  If all goes well and I get approved, I will have my surgery sometime in November.  Iwalked out of that office sooooooooo happy and full of hope.  I haven't felt this way in a long time!Nov 10th - I have been approved by my insurance and I am going to go meet with my surgeon today!update 12/11/09 - Had to change doctors because my previous Dr. was having trouble renewing his contract with the hospital.  Sugery date is 12/19/09.
